Stock base 2011 gt headlights

Anyone else with similar car notice how weak the lights are. I changed out the bulbs with bright blue ones with little or no effect on visibility. I think I'm going to try the brightest white bulbs they make. What has worked for you guys? I'm sick of people giving me high beams when I'm running fog lights.

Yeah, there is no hope for them, barring an HID conversion but, that blinds everyone else. Save up for some Raxiom or factory take off HIDs.

This option was a deal-breaker for me. I had to have the factory HIDs. I've also HID'd the grille fogs, which has actually made them useful and not just the tinsel they were with the 9145s. Those are switchable so, less irritating to others.

in your case, going with blue shifted light made your light output WORSE, not better. Most light is in the 4300 k range, which is a touch yellow. Blue tinged lighting is actually the hardest to see precisely, based on our physiology

I suffered through the same thing, I finally ended up retrofitting 13-14 hids and couldn't be happier, the light output difference is simply amazing!

After HID on the foglights, this is what I get, together with factory HID heads:

Pretty effective for an American car.

I bought Raxioms and put hids in them. Wasn't satisfied so I sold those and got retrofits and have been very happy ever since.

I think I am spoiled by the lights in my wife's Acura. I am still amazed by them every time I drive it.

My retrofits are not quite as good as hers but, they are close.

I had the same problem with my 2012. I adjusted them and no complaints since. I used to feel like I was overdriving the lights. I believe I turned the adjustment screws one complete rotation. I posted in a thread last summer about this. Try searching the forum and you should find it. I think our lights are pointing low from the factory because everyone complains about it.

I just installed the HID headlights (5K) and they work wonders. No need to use high beam anymore and not blinding to oncoming traffic but great coverage. I'm thinking of putting on the Raxion yellow/amber fog lights (2011 GTCS Premi Convert fogs in grille). I was warned that they could be illegal here in TX. Any comments on putting on the lights or illegality? Appreciate it.

are the 2011 GT headlights diffferent from the 2011 v6 headlights? i figured they'd be the same except the foglights.

Yes they are the same, it's HIDs or standard halogen. Offered on both V6 and GT
