Paint peeling under the Hood

My 2012 Gt has the paint peeling along the seam on the front edge of the hood. It is flaking off, and can be removed with my fingernail. Anybody else seeing this? Dealer says could be rust, but looks like bad paint adhesion.

fairly common issue since 05, when Ford switched to aluminum skin hoods. get them to sand it down and repaint it before it becomes a bigger problem.

It's a galvanic corrosion between the two dissimilar metals. Happens very often. Same reason you can use steel tie downs for copper pipe in your house.

This is a problem with a lot of the new stangs with aluminum hoods. Ford didn't properly seal where the two metals meet so corrosion will be the result. Contact your dealer and report it, if it gets worse you my need the hood repainted.
