Install GT500 hood insert on stock hood. Any tips/pics?

I am looking at appearance mods for my 2014 V6. I recently saw a photo of a GT500 in black, with matte black stripes, and I think it looks amazing. CJ Pony Parts sells the insert for under a hundred dollars, and the stripe kit can be had for around $150. Those two would dramatically change the looks of my black V6.

Has anyone else installed this insert, if so do you have pics? I have no problem cutting into my hood, and I have seen guides for the process. I just want to know if there is any first hand advice. Also, I am up for criticism on whether this is "ricer" or not. I obviously do not think so, but that's me. Are there any corresponding mods that should take place at the same time?

Besides the hole, the area around it has a recess, so the vent sits nearly flush with the rest of the hood. Someone on one of the sites did it, had a body shop do the recess.
I would find a GT500 & look @ it first................good luck.

Why not just get a GT500 hood? They come up frequently on ebay and craigslist for pretty cheap.

There was a guy on here that did it but I don't see him on here much anymore. He had a GHIG 3.7. He got the specs on where exactly it sits on the hood from the shelby guys!
