So I had my GT painted totally in Rhino Liner..

It needed a paint job anyway and the shop I always go to was looking for a "test" car to try out a Full Rhino Liner paint job (they have had people wanting to do their 4x4's and stuff so I Volunteered my 01 Mustang ive had for about a month. I got the car for next to nothing (less than $3,000) and I thought eh what the hell why not.

I think it turned out good and the overall reaction has been VERY positive ive had 4 people try to buy the car from me in the 3 days ive had it back from the shop.

BEFORE ( I know its the probably the ugliest car ive ever seen.. those god aweful chrome/silver stripes on blue? .. ugh..)

AFTER (Also replaced the headlights and did a FULL suspension that lowered the car about 2.5")

What do you guys think? In the end I'm happy with it. I saved Thousands by not having to do a full paint job

That IS different!
I've seen some trucks and Jeeps that are Rhino lined but never a Mustang.
Did they do much disassembly of the body during prep?
It looks good in the pics, like there's NOT a bunch of material collected in the body lines like I've seen on cars with "budget" paint jobs.
I like the smooth trunk also...

Well they just did another vehicle and they are charging about $6,000-$7,000 for the full job they dissembled pretty much the whole car and sanded down everything yea its very clean. Good lines as far as function (doors,Trunk,Hood) you cant even tell. Its actually better I think they put the car back together better than it was when they took it apart lol.

Yea I am replacing them soon with some aftermarket ones so I just had them cover the stock ones for now. The origional plan was to go black/red but after seeing it all black I dont really want to add anything else to it. I have a chin spoiler on the way and Im going to probably replace the exhaust tips with some nicer ones but thats about all I think.

I agree. But maybe sort of a brushed aluminum look for the decals.

I knew several guys who did this on their cars. They all went with a smoother looking finish and they all turned out great.

Looks good.

Now, time to get rid of the flaming interior ...

Yea any ideas on the interrior? The seats are ripped to **** and the carpet is pretty faded too the previous owner just had those cheap auto zone covers n mats this is what it looks like without

It's just hard to imagine spending thousands on the interior when there's so much performance stuff I could do

A few hundred bucks will get you a decent set of racing seats. They won't be top of the line, but they'll look good. I'd personally pick up a set of the carpet mats that AM sells to freshen it up as well. For around $1000 you can totally rework the inside of the car. Sure, you could spend $1000 on performance. But if you plan on keeping this car for awhile, the ratty seats will bug the hell out of you.

Yea I saw the full carpet replacement AM sells along with some nice OE style floor mats that would help a lot. I was under the impression that if you bought racing seats cheap ($400-$700) that you would need brackets, drilling, slider tracks, a harness and new seat belts/straps making everything seriously close to $1,600-$2,000.

$1,000 does not sound bad and would be totally worth it in the overall plan for things.

Interesting. I prefer Matte wraps / paint

On a positive note, you never have to worry about washing, clay bar'ing, polishing, sealing or waxing ever again.

I've seen that done on offroading trucks.... At least you can be assured you aren't going to get door dings or stupid scratches on your car.

Pressure washer and then air dry. Its not like paint where you can get those hard water spots.

With the interior, depending on your plans for the car, I would either go with racing seats that will work with the factory stuff or go looking around local salvage yards and pull two seats from a decent Mustang. Then either just floor mats, replace the carpet or gut the interior and rhino line the floorpan..
