Yes the tails were done just like any other paint, scuff gloss off of lights. Clean, spray three light layers of nightshade three coats of clear, let dry, wet sand with 2000 grit, the compound and polish the hell out of them. They are as smooth as factory ones.

Oh yeah more the. Three coats it's too dark.
