Plastidipped MCA Wheel Center Caps

Decided to try a different paint scheme on my center caps before I put my summer wheels back on. Wheels are all all black with 2 coats of gloss (4 coats matte black) and I wanted to see how this looked to match the black fender badges on my white mustang. I wasn't sure if the painter's tape would be a problem or not, but it turns out it's no big deal. I had no issues at all with pulling up plastidip that had dried for roughly 15 hours with 4 coats of white plastidip.

As you can see the tape started to pull away a bit so I'll have to touch up tomorrow. I just wanted to let everyone know that you can safely put painter's tape over plastidip that has dried for 15 hours in order to get more creative.

Thanks!

After the touch up I decided to take it a step further and just leave the inner background white. As an FYI the cap from an 8.75 oz jar of McCormick Cinnamon fits perfectly. I put that in the center and just sprayed 4 coats of matte black and 2 coats of gloss in order to get the outter ring to match the badge and my wheels.

I will be sure to update with a pic of what it all looks like when the wheels go on, which will be April 26th.

Thanks!

I'm thinking about doing the lugs in white too, but I want to see how these look on there first.

Got them put on yesterday, I left them with the chrome lugs from my winter set of wheels to see what white would look like. I think I'm gonna go white lugs too, just need another set of wheel locks.

What do you think?

P.S.
Yes I know she's dirty, but I'll clean her up soon. So much rain this week and weekend lol.

Thanks!

I still need to find the time to get that middle stripe white on the center caps to match, but for now I'm gonna leave it, because just getting the background of the cap white was a PITA.
