American Muscle is an obvious one. That's the favorite here.

Ya I found a bunch on ebay. Just a little hesitant if they are good quality, I wouldn't want them peeling or fading

---------- Post added at 08:05 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:04 AM ----------

And American muscle doesn't have grey stripes , only like a silver color

Ask your local dealership. Most dealerships contract out vinyl work and do not mind passing some business there way.

If you're doing Black Stripes, Holy Cow!! this product is insane!! I just did mine and the stripes look and feel exacly like vinyl down to the edges.

Id go with A.M.'s stripe kit first. I got my materials free. So I went that route. I sprayed my stripes at 2pm today. It rained hard by 5pm. Didnt leave spots or mess it up at all. Amazing! just like vinyl. I only sprayed one nice thick coat (heavy but not to thick to run. I am a painter for 30+ years. And I had no issues pulling the tape afterwards. clean lines!!

It's Matte Finish Black. I guess Rustoleum created a very warm black. It looks Umber to me. Whatever. LOL.. It has a picture of racing stripes on the can. Home Depot and Lowes sell it.

Notice how much lighter it is than the Matte Black around my license plate and tail light trim. I had know Idea it was a different Black but it absolutely shows the stripes much better. When I paint tone on tone stripes on walls I always offeset the color by 20% to make the effect more noticeable, especially because you can't always depend on proper lighting to see the difference good enough. I give mad propz to the Rustoleum color guy. It's nice to know that someone actually knows their color
(I thought I was gonna have to gloss my tail light trim but it's all good) Less work for me!!))

I highly recommend using this product instead of Plasti-dip. Pulling the tape afterwards was a dream come true. I cleaned the surface with a spray product "DIRTEX". Removes wax and contaminents. I also used a RED scuffie carefully after taping. And lightly blew away the dust. No Fish eyes Super hard finish when dry. It dries in 15 minutes. I dont know how long it takes to cure, so Im going to wait 3-4 days to wash my car. I'm only putting Meguiars spray wax on it too. The edges are so thick that I'd be afraid of regular wax leaving thin white lines on the edges. I hope this info is helpful.

Sign shops also could help you out. Most use Computer cut vinyl. "Press n Peel" Be careful with bubbles and the edges laying flat. (Hairdryer)

Frogtape leaves perfect lines. Something in the adhesive. Once paint hits the edge, the tape expands 100 X's its seal. Absolutely the BEST!!

Damn, wish you lived in my city so I could pay you to do stripes on my car. I'm too scared to take up the job of plastidip/rusto my entire car. I can do rims and hash marks, but stripes all the way through is too much for me haha.

I wish I took pics of the measuring and taping. Prolly I should find a volunteer that wants stripes and do a step by step pic tutorial. Maybe there's something on youtube already. IDK but stripes are fun. Sometimes confusing but patience is key. I made some mistakes but corrected them before the paint went on. It was fun Photoshopping examples too. Helps decide want looks best.
