Tint Question and auto dimming mirror

Hello all, just purchased a 2014 Mustang in black and looking to do a few basic appearance mods and clearly at the top of the list is tint. My only issue is that these cars came standard with the auto dimming mirrors and it seems like with the stock windows (no tint) at night it is difficult to see when the mirror auto dims and am worried that it will be impossible to see out of if I get tint. Only thinking about 35% percent so not wanting to go too dark. I had a few ideas that I wasn't sure would work but was hoping to get others input on or open to other suggestions.

1. Is there a way to simple disable the auto dimming mirror?

2. Would the tint allowing less light through the window make the auto dimming mirrors not dim as much making it more visible?

The mirror auto dims based on a photo sensor in the bottom of the mirror. As a bright light registers on the photo sensor it dims. If you tint your windows, you'll be reducing the amount of light reaching the photo sensor, and it will not dim as much. If you are really concerned, place a piece of tape on the photo sensor and it won't dim at all.

I have 5% on the back window and my auto-dimming mirror never dims when driving at night.
