If I can’t get the stuff off, I’ll take it to a detailer. I just don’t want to spend a lot of money right now. I just got home from college and no one will hire me for only 2 months so I don’t have a lot of money.

Is it something you can see on the paint? If it's like Opticoat it's hard to judge how thick it is and how much is left when heavy polishing it off.

Haha, we tend to do that sometimes... At least we stay on somewhat of the section's topic! Active discussion is always a good thing in my book.

I can’t really see it. I washed my car today and the water didn’t bead up too much and my hand was sort of sticking to the car when I rubbed my hand on the paint. I think the dealer just said they put it on and didn’t or if they did it was a very fine spray. I also just found out it the car leaks by the passenger kick panel so I’m taking it in in the morning.

Depending on how much money you have to work with, there's tons of options. Personally, I use Klasse synthetic wax for the base layer (synthetic lasts longer, keeps a more wet clear look), and then top that with a Carnauba like my Pinnacle Souveran. (Carnauba typically doesn't last as long and has a "warm glow")

But remember this: Wax Does not Make your Car Shiny or Remove Swirls Polishing makes your paint shiny and removes defects. Any swirls you might have just get filled in with wax. On that same note, do not ever go through an automatic car wash.

Auto car washes are great. Why break my hand punching all the panels of my car when I could just have a violent, rotating in a circular motion, unlubricated, dirty piece of drapery do all of the work for me.

You forgot the acid-rain like waterspots after it's done. That's the best part.
