Hood scoop/stripe

Hey I'm new to the mustang community and I have a question. I know that the first thing that should be done on a mustang is tint and that will be done but i have a tungsten grey mustang. And I want to do two black racing stripes down to the hood and to the back and I also want a hood scoop. My question is if I am gonna get black stripes would it be better to get the unpainted (black) hood scoop or get the pre painted one. I would like to get the un painted one considering the price difference. But I want some more input.

So you are going to have them painted on instead of vinyl?

That's what I did. But I preferred the scoop without the stripes only because I thought the scoop would stand out more. Click image for larger version

Did you do the stripes yourself or have them applied at a shop?? Looks great. I want to do something like that and will prob have them professionally applied. Just concerned with the stripes peeling or coming up since they are not clear coated on.. Any suggestions

I had a shop do mine for $450. When washing I am careful but more so for the pin stripes (1/4") than that 10" ones. The shop gave me extra material in case I ever have to touch up. I'm happy with the work. Since I used a local shop I can always go back to them if I need to. I'll tell you that getting the stripes gave the car a whole new personality.

I would get the scoop painted body color then stripe it myself. Its not that hard, I did mine over a weekend.
