How resistant to snow and ice are convertible tops?

We got a big dump of snow yesterday overnight and by the time I got to my 09 vert in the morning, it was literally covered in snow and ice. Wondering if these cars can take the cold weather and if the vinyl gets ruined easily?
Anyone have any horror stories or suggestions (besides the obvious one of keeping it in a garage)?

Thanks in advance!

My 07 saw a decent amount last year and was fine. It is sealed pretty darn well actually hopefully yours is the same. I just would not let it get burried too much, not sure how much weight the top can hold.

Car cover would not be a bad idea either

Thanks for the advice Nate! Yeah I was concerned about the roof getting warped or buckling under the snow. Trying to convince my wife to park her Hyundai outside now!
A car cover is a good idea too.
I hate the damn snow.
