Gloss or matte black rally stripes?

I have 2014 sterling grey. Opinions? I can't decide.

I had the same kind of dilemma when I put the stripes on my DIB Mustang. I ended up with the Matte Black stripes and could not be happier. Sterling grey and Deep Impact Blue have quite a bit of metal flake, depth, and shine to it and the gloss stripes seem to take away and conflict with the colors...

FWIW, I was going to be going with a metal flake dark gray stripe, gloss black, or the matte black when I had mine done. The guy that did my stripes convinced me to go with the matte black. We took large strips and compared the different colors in the sunlight on the car from different angles. Matte black looks fantastic on the sterling gray cars that I have seen. Gloss, not so much...

I think the Matte would be best. I have a sterling. Was going to do stripes and decided against but when I was planning it was Matte for sure.Nice contrast and helps keep accent on the paint.

Thanks for the replies. I think I will go with the matte. Now if I could only find a good place that does installation in SE Michigan.

Vinyl or paint? If your getting it painted on, flat will cost more then gloss black. My pick is flat black thou. Post some pix when it's done. should look sweet

Definitely vinyl. Due to cost and the option to remove them if I ever wanted to.

Sweet. But ya i'd go with flat black. If you were getting them painted on, i'd say gloss black

I'm biased. I ordered a new 2014 Black GT with the matte black stripes. Never had a car that received so many compliments.

Cost me $250, but that INCLUDED making the custom stripes from my own design. The guy had to laser cut them from blank material. The guy is Scott Callvin in Moreno Valley, CA. Email : scalvin@roadrunner.com ****** He has done 3 Mustangs for me.
