Burnt copper complete dip

Just picked her up today and wanted to share with you guys. Turned out great. Changes colors at different angles and even had a go with an SS on the way home lol.

That looks great! Love the color changes in the light versus no light.

I'm starting to lean towards a whole dip than paying to repair all my scratches and scuffs on my paint.
Does it have top coat? Great looking color!

I'm a fan. If I had to change anything I think I'd keep the decklid panel black. Of course this is very easy to change if you wanted to! What did you pay to have that done? Just out of curiosity

Thanks guys as far as a top coat it does not but this isnt the typical plastidip thats rubber based. Im trying to remember the name but its a vinyl based dip. He did 3 coats of black primer then 5 coats of burnt copper. With the car ,including the wheels and calipers it came out to just over 1100. How it looked before

Haha thanks . it's only been a couple days but I was advised to wait about that long to wash it. Before doing the dip I asked about the clear coat and was told that it wouldn't be a good idea. The clear coat actually likes to grab anything that falls on it, dirt , bird droppings and especially pollen.

That turned out really nice. I think if the windows were tinted dark, it would make it stand out even more.

Burnt copper complete dip

Not sure with the vinyl based one they used but plastidip says if you maintain it, 3 years or so. Answer for they guy asking how long it lasts.

Niiiiccee. Really like that color, gonna dip my 07 sometime in the near future. Like Oxford said I probably would've left the decklid panel and emblems the original color but it's nice regardless

Burnt copper complete dip

Hey OP, do you live in Jersey?

EDIT : Realized I could click your bio and find that out myself.. Saw this car at chik fil A when I was leaving work the other night. I work at the best buy in mount laurel. It was stunning in person. Sounds really good too. If you've ever seen a DIB v6 with louvers in town, that's me. We both live in the same town lol

Do you have problems with water spots on the car with the dip? I've never dipped a whole car, but with wheels that i've done as well as the hood vents, I've never really been able to avoid getting water spots or been able to get rid of them once they are there.

I do have water spots if I don't dry it right away. I use a super absorbent towel from dip your car.com doesn't take long

That looks pretty good. I probably would have left the rear decklid alone. I saw a completely dipped black car yesterday and it didn't look much different then someone spray painting it black (looking stolen). LOL

I was telling my wife that White might look ok but this definitely looks nice.
