Mmd style shorty antenna for cheap

Any looking for the mmd shorty antenna from American muscle know its gunna be a while until its available. I found one from a company called "antennax" for 14.99 , so basically 20 dollars cheaper. Just thought id throw this out there incase there were other people out there like me wanting that exact one.

Im not that cheap. Lol This post wasnt necessarily about how cheap it was. It was more to help people that wanted that mmd shorty antenna from am. But didnt want to wait a few weeks before it became available.

I don't see anything wrong with that. It doesn't look bad. Here's the part # if any one wants to do it. Haven't done it yet but might do it tomorrow morning.

DIY: 1. Pop the ball off the antenna using the nail puller hole in a 12" pry bar.
2. Cut the OE antenna to desired length (hack saw, etc.).
2a. If you are concerned with reduced reception begin with a longer length than desired and test by installing the antenna and checking the radio reception.
2b. Cut to final length as desired.
3. File or grind the end slightly smaller than the size of the hole in the ball to allow room for super glue.
4. Install and check radio reception.
5. Super glue the ball on the end of the antenna.

I shortened mine to 8" this way and did not notice any difference in reception.

Or you could just take some dykes chop the antenna and put a vacuum cap on the end like video.
