Paid for a detailing, worth every penny.

Washed, claybared, waxed, buffed and sealed. The car looks liquid, like it's wet all the time. Clay baring really does the deep cleaning, sorta the same thing as cleaning pads for your face, actually exfoliates the paint. I paid $350 to have it done, way better than I could ever do. It's all about the cleaning process. Very happy with the results, like a new car.
Scott

That's gorgeous!

Love to do that too, but since it's pollen season and I park in the drive way it would be money thrown away this time of year. Gonna do it myself soon and if the results are half as good as yours I'll still be ecstatic.

Not really, once you have it at this level, no need to wax for approx a year. Just wash n dry. Car feels so soft to the touch.

That's what I'm going for. The previous owner left swirls on the trunk and roof. Have a fresh painted hood so that's a good start. Looks great btw!

Just spent the last couple hours washing, clay baring, and buffing my car...

Is it perfect? No, but a lot better than it was. Got most the swirls out, which I'm impressed since it's my first time doing that. Should be ready to lay down my stripes now, which is why I didn't mention any wax.

Yours still looks better lol, but I'm not complaining oh my $50 DIY detail job.
