CAI's

whats the difference between the 60$ CAI from eBay and the 300$ CAI from American muscle?

I can speak from experience about the eBay ones. I bought one for my 95 v6 when I had it, it didn't really do much. After time, the rubber sleeves that hold everything together started cracking and coming loose. Also the aluminum started to tarnish and look really bad after a few months. I like to keep everything that I have nice and clean so, it wasn't a lack of that. As for the one from AM, I'm thinking I'm gonna buy a cai/tuner combo in the spring. Gonna be driving the other car in the winter months. Plus the ones from AM have reputable names like c&l, steeda, jlt, and so on. Not to mention the warranty. I hope this helps.

I still believe you can't trash an eBay part.you get what you pay for but if you buy a steeda part it will be steeda quality.I do agree that it is still safer getting it from American muscle though.I'm sure chris will help you out next time he's on here.

+1 most eBay auctions don't offer warranty.just usually just return policy for short period.

Re: CAI's

OP, as others have stated, you get what you pay for.

For the best peformance, get a reputable intake like Steeda, JLT, C&L or Airaid and a proper tune and you will be FAR happier than just tossing an eBay intake on.

If/when you are ready to order, shoot me a PM and I can hook you up with the forum discount code!

Re: CAI's

Does C&L make a 2003 V6 CAI? I saw a 94-00 and a 05-09 v6 option, but nothing in between.
