I think with the popularity of apps it would b a smart move to create traffic for them, from people like you and i,but I'm not sure how much of their revenue would come from it. Depends on their risk vs money. If I where them I would stick to adds in mags instead of pumping money into a app. With traffic already being created with this sponsorship to this site. That's my marketing analysis / rant lol. I want one though.

Genius idea... I havent read down the thread yet, so someone may have mentioned this- but wouldn't it be cool if they had a feature similar to the Mustang Customizer app, where you could " try on " parts?

And being able to shop and order on an Amazon style interface would be amazing...

The only problem I see with this idea is that none of us are going to have a paycheck left. Especially with the try parts on feature! That would be awesome!

You do know that we pricematch, right?!?

As for the mobile apps, its definitely something we have been considering/working on. Now that the site redesign is done, we can get back to work on them. However, I don't know when or if the apps will ever be available, unfortunately. As soon as I do, you guys will be the first to know!

As for the try it on stuff, we are working with different ideas of how to best "present" parts on a car before you buy them. Other companies(like TireRack and now Ford themselves: 2012 Ford Mustang Sports Car | All Legend. Zero Compromise. 305-412 HP & 26-31 MPG | Ford.com )have some good ideas and we are trying to figure out what's going to work best for us and our customers!

NO WAYYY?!?!?!?!?!?!
Definitely buying from y'all more often now, some places shipping takes forever and yours is Godspeed!

How exactly do you price match? Would I send someone the link to where I found it cheaper and you would look into it? Hmm..

Ya know what though come to think of it. When I went to look at buying the letters for the rear bumper. AM had photos of customers cars in all different colors that had the product I was looking for. That's really the best way instead of seeing it on a cartoon drawing of the car. Neat toy sure however I would rather them not spend money on pointless toys so that they can keep the price of our toys down. app great idea! Test fitting parts? Maybe not so much in my opinion.

I would like the app just for the hell of it. Although, I personally prefer to place my orders over the phone with an agent. Safest way for me.

I work for a company that sells online security to organizations that have websites that handle online purchases and money. Some of the malware and viruses going around now are crazy, and they keep getting better. Stuff that anti virus can't cut. Be careful when you shop online. I'd say 90% have some form of this stuff lying dormant on their computers. The amount of money some of these guys are loosing is almost made me sh*t my pants.

o forgot the main point of that. Basically, your phones aren't really protected against those kinds of attacks especially if your jail broken or using some 3rd party apps or software. I'd imagine there will be alot of attacks this way soon.

Yup, just collect all the information from the competitor's site and call our Parts Experts with it. They will verify it is the same part and it is shipped to your door at a lesser price than us. Once they verify it, they can go ahead and set you up with an order at that pricing, shipped to your door!

Yes, I imagine that hackers are already working out how to take down app-stores and mobile on-line purchases. Definitely scary stuff!

Thanks for all the input/support, everybody!

Please let me know if you have any questions/comments/concerns in the future!

Nope, they definitely can be. There is just less people out in the world using Apple products than windows and so less people focus on trying to bring them down(Apple products in general).
