tune

Who has tuned their mustang? Specifically with bama tune. I've been on the fence about it for a while now but I'm pretty sure I'm going to order it unless there is some huge problem floating around out there

Re: tune

I do not have one but from everything I hear about them, their customer service is second to none... literally! maybe not the most powerful tunes but more than enough to make your car more powerful and keep you satisfied

Yeah I realize its not going to give me supercharger-like crazy power but between my current mods, aluminum driveshaft that I'm ordering as well, and the tune I'm hoping for a nice improvement

I've got a tuner from AM with Bama tunes. I'd say my experience with them was pretty good. These guys at Bama are human and make mistakes sometimes. My case was a simple fix. When my tuner came in, it had no tunes programmed. I contacted Bama and they said they were not uploaded properly and emailed me the tunes to get me going. It took about 30 minutes. I did have to update the tuner from my PC, that took about 2 hours then I loaded the tunes to the tuner. That took about 20 minutes. Then I uploaded the 93 Street tune. That took another 20 minutes and it worked great.

primer2tone,

I apologize for the time consuming inconvenience with your device. It sounds like we defiantly dropped the ball when burning the tunes to your device. Our tunes program is good 99% of the time. Occasionally there is small error like this because we hand write every single tune!

I am pleased to hear that we got you squared away! If you need assistance in the future, please feel free to hit me up!

- Dan

Bama is great! Buy one! You wont regret it!! It makes a big difference with just my exhaust and CAI!! I cant wait to get more mods to feel the difference! And like Dan said, if you get something new, just tell them and they will hook you up fast. On the website they say it might take 24 or more hours to get your new tune, i got my new one literally 2 hours after i sent it in!

Thanks Dan! I have bought all of my aftermarket parts through American Muscle and will continue to do so. You guys are awesome. I'll probably order my tuner this weekend and maybe aluminum driveshaft as well. Have you had any feedback on it?

davidn7488,

Awesome! Thank you for being such a loyal customer to AM, we greatly appreciate it!

Since we already touched base on the tuner, lets touch base on the aluminum drive shaft!

You will not see a power gain from this item, however the light weight driveshaft will help a ton on giving your mustang a diet! You will be removing rotating mass on the drive train, This will also make your ride a lot smoother!

We have had great results over all from this product. If you would like to hear more about the results Our Mustang Experts are here Monday-Friday from 9AM-9PM EST and Saturdays from 9AM-5:30PM EST. If you want to hit them up, their number is 866.727.1266. I can also have one of them call you directly.

Just ordered the tuner. I figure I've voided my warranty already in many ways so might as well get the best out of them

Thanks Dan! I went ahead and ordered my aluminum driveshaft today as well from you guys. One thing that I did have a question on.. when I filled out the form for the tune I selected 91 octane for all three. I didn't realize most gas stations around here have 93 octane premium, not 91. should I get them redone for 93 or leave it as is?

davidn7488,

No problem man!

Great choice with the aluminum driveshaft that will be a nice diet in the rotating mass department! Your car is going to be a new beast!

It's no problem for us to re write your tunes, shoot me over your order # & I will have a Bama member email you revised files!

Thanks for shopping with AM & We greatly appreciate the business & friendship!

Re: tune

It shouldn't affect it negatively if I leave it as 91, right? that way I won't have any problems if for some reason I get to a pump and they only have 91

Davidn7488,

Yeah you can run the 91 Tune with no problems at all!

I always recommend the higher octane tunes(91/93) to squeeze all the possible power out you can!

Let me know how you like the tune's when you get them loaded up!
