AM,
I purchased a SF3/JLT CAI combo from you about 3 months ago or so - been very happy overall with the experience, and your folks have been very helpful in general.
When I first got the SF3, I spent a few weeks going back and forth with a couple of your tuners working through what exactly I was looking for, and with a little trial and error it's now really close.
My favorite one is a 93 octane performance tune - seems to be a great balance between power and driveability, fine going back and forth for work, and also fun when the opportunity to open it up on the highway presents itself.
The big thing for me was some adjustments to shift scheduling - I didn't like that the car "clunked" into overdrive at about 30 mph, and one of your tuners was able to make a few adjustments to make it hold 3rd a little longer, which really made a difference in traffic situations.
At any rate, the only other thing that I was looking for was to have the traction control turned off in the tune. I called Bama, spoke with one of the tuners, and explained that I really just wanted to take the existing 93 octane tune and add the traction control adjustment. I offered to email it in so that there wouldn't be any mixups, but the gentleman I spoke with assured me that wasn't needed, and that my tunes were on file.
That was great news, and just like always, the new tune was in my inbox very quickly!
I loaded it up, started the car, and was thrilled to see that the traction control was indeed turned off - awesome!
BUT.... started driving, and the shift scheduling was all back to the original settings...
No big deal, and everyone I've spoken with at AM/Bama has been a pleasure to deal with, but I thought I'd post here and see if I could get it sorted out. I still have the CEF file that includes all the other changes (I think).
If I could get that same tune with the TC turned off, I'd be thrilled, and back to work modding so I can justify another tune!
Thanks guys!
Aaron
