I started the install at about 5:30 pm, as the sun was going down. Thank goodness for my work light!

Even in the dark, with minimal mechanical aptitude and basic tools I was able to accomplish the install in under an hour. Once I was done, and thank you for the very clear instructions, I did a PCM relearn and drove it away.

Flawless. I'm loving it!

Everything looks like it's in order on the hood. Good work Mkolabin!

Thanks for your support and posting up your experience. It's awesome to hear feedback like this from our loyal customers!

How's the throttle response feel compared to before? It should have picked up a good bit once your PCM learns from driving.

Shane

Looks good! You can never go wrong with a new CAI, or anything from AM for that matter.

Sadly, I haven't reallty had a safe time to find out. You may or may not be able to tell, but it was raining when I did the install and it hasn't let up. The roads are very greasy and I just got my car back from the body shop (the tale is told in the thread titled "FML (Wreck)" in the General forum) so I don't want to risk it.

As soon as it dries up a little, I'll really let you know.

Looking to order a TB next, and that may also be installed before I get a chance to really open the taps.

But that says something for how easy the install was; that I did it in the dark, in the rain, with basic tools and a work light and it took under an hour.

Thanks again, AM!

BBK is totally FTW, BTW. IKR?!

It's probably for the best to stay inside until the roads clean up! Wouldn't want to hit some oil/water and have an accident. Let me know how it drives once everything's cleaned up outside!

After a very nice, dry drive in to work... spirited but legal, I managed to get a good feel. The throttle response is noticibly quicker, and once I have the BBK TB on there also, I bet it'll be pretty sharp!

Over 3500 RPM there's a nice, distinct yet very subtle tone that comes from under my hood. I love it.

Bolt ons, from BBK, through AM, are awesome!

I knew you were like the throttle response! Well then again, who wouldn't?

Again, thanks for your support and feedback!

Yours is bigger.

Now I feel inadequate.

Is there, like, Viagra for CAI's?

Lol! It's not the size of the filter, it's how good she sucks. Bahahahaha.

Lol. I swear, we should start a bumper sticker company. I want a way to have then and change them without them being on my paint. I want one that says, three beeps is all it takes.

See, now all we have to do is design something to keep it from touching my paint. Maybe I could get my wife to just hold it out the window.

A pick of the 97 cobra I had before I got my Shelby. Somebody else put Saleen across the window. I did the whole car from American Muscle. Even the nitrous kit. 😬 It had almost too much to even list.

I want vanity plates that read "SLO PNY" but the wife won't get on board.

I even suggested "SIKSTANG" but she wasn't having it.

Now I have carbon fiber plate frams for NOTHING!

She don't drive. I keep her barefoot in the kitchen... which is why it's all the more surprising she has so much of the power in the relationship.

LOL. J/K
