The wait

So i ordered my SCT Tuner with Bama tunes on the 18th and it is supposed to finally be here today (hopefully) and i sure hope the wait was worth it. I don't know why, but i ordered it on the 18th and it is just now coming today, the 9 day wait seems like a little excessive for only being in California. But as long as I have the tunes installed by the time i go to the track tonight its all good. Please UPS get here before 4 o'clock!

I'm glad to hear your SCT device is on time to be delivered today! Unfortunately since you're in California and we're in Pennsylvania it's usually about 4-6 business days to get to you. It may seem like 9 days, but your device most likely didn't ship until the 21st with our two day turn around time on writing your entirely custom tunes. So Friday would have been the first day it was in transit, weekends aren't business days and it's Wednesday so that's right on time!

I hope this helps, believe me your new Custom tune will definitely be worth the wait! Please let me know if you have any questions or need some assistance.

That makes sense that it will take a little longer because of the tune... It wasn't in time for me to use it at the track today (6pm and still waiting) so I'll just go next week instead... Kinda bummed because its spring break and I wanted to go today.

Now i'm getting pissed off with UPS, the scheduled delivery was changed to tomorrow!!! It should not take them this long... My email conformation said my package shipped on the 20th, this is taking too damn long.

That sucks. I've never had UPS change the delivery date on me. lol Hope it comes soon man. It's well worth the wait though.

My UPS driver is so spot on, I know he will drive down my street between 6:00 - 6:15 every evening. I think somebody on my street runs a business from home. He knows me very well now lol...

That sucks man! I can't imagine what happened that the delivery date got changed. Once things are on the truck they want those things off there before they come back to the hub. I can only think that the truck broke down, driver got in a wreck, or a sub driver was running wayyy behind and a supervisor couldn't go out there and take some packages off him. Sucks regardless!

Yep that sucks! I've made 3 orders from am and each order took only 5 business days and that included clearing customs! I hope it comes for you tomorrow!

I really wanted it to be here earlier today for the track being that it is spring break. And i don't want to use the gas for the track 2 weeks in a row so i opted out of this week. I'll just go next week Oh well, i am thinking of getting the Hybrid tune and have them write in the launch control, so i gotta find a good rpm.... How exactly does the launch control on the tunes work? If it is set then does it only happen when i'm in 1st gear at a stop?

Oh, i've got one more question. When i decide to switch to the street tune for daily driving for increased gas mileage what octane rating should i ask for to get maximum mpg? I run 91 (Can't get 93 anywhere around here), but idk if running the 87 street tune will give better mpg than the 91.

I'm sorry that UPS rescheduled your delivery day. I hope everything gets delivered today so you can start enjoying your Bama tune! If you're looking into the Hybrid tune and a Race tune with Launch control, that's no problem at all. Just hit up the Bama team and they'll get you squared away (Your correct when you said that launch control only helps you launch in first gear, then stops)!

Also, the higher octane level will help you get better gas mileage. I Run 93 Octane in my Mach 1 all the time, that's what I recommend! (91 is fine, since you guys don't have 93).

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any further questions or need some assistance. Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 9AM-5:30PM EST. You can hit them up directly at 888.226.9764 and they'll get you squared away!

Yea that helped... My tuner came in today, i think they pushed back the delivery on purpose because my Mach 1 chin and grille delete came early, was supposed to come tomorrow but came today. They probably just wanted to deliver all at the same time. I'm happy though that my chin and grille delete came in today. The first thing i did was open the tuner and plug it in lol, i installed the 91 race tune. Time to get the hybrid tune with the launch control for the track next week.
For the chin, i decided to mount it flush at the wheel well so that it sits off set a little in the front, i'd rather have it tucked in a little then the gap at the wheels

Awesome! I'm glad to hear all of your parts arrived and that you've already got everything installed.

Let me know if you ever have any questions or need some assistance in the future!
