Stubborn Flowmaster Catback!

I spent an 1.5 hours trying to get my american thunder catback to line up correctly on each side. One side is a bout .5 inches lower than the other. Finally said F* it and left the shop.

I am going to take it to an exhaust shop next week and have them align it correctly. My forearms are killing me from sliding those damn pipes around.

And to end on a happy note it does sound really good imo and AM shipped it to hawaii really quickly.

Are you blaming Flowmaster for your lack of installation skill?

Flowmaster uses a scavenger x pipe. They're just barely mated in the center and really only connect enough to allow equilibrium of exhaust pressure to occur. They're almost divorced pipes because there is so little overlap

OP,

Exhaust installations can be tricky and stubborn sometimes. I'm sure you'll get things straightened out the next time around. I usually fix issues on my car a lot easier after I walk away for short period of time.

Good luck!

Shane

I wasn't able to make it to the shop today. My oldest son was sick.

However they have lifts at the auto hobby shop in base so that should make it easier
