Complaint about AM and a Bama tuner

You guys killed my MPG.
Wow this is fun with the 87 performance tune. No way I'm feeding it the 93 performance performance tune! I'll go broke.
I'm gonna have to budget more for gas every month as it is. Some gears and this is a one-two punch for a V6 auto.

I'm sorry to hear about the loss in Gas Mileage! This is actually pretty common to experience when you first load a custom tune. You're in the Throttle a lot more and driving it much more aggressively, to feel the power of your new tune! This will cause a huge loss in MPG...

However, when driven properly our tune is actually proven to show improvements in Gas Mileage! I would recommend filling up and taking it easy for the entire tank, You'll see the same MPG as before and possibly even a 2-4 MPG improvement over stock.

Once you install a set of Gears your V6 is going to be a completely different animal. You said it perfectly, a V6 with Gears and a Bama custom tune is definitely a 1-2 Punch!

I hope this clears things up. Please let me know if you have any questions or need some assistance in the near future! Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 9AM-5:30PM EST.

Absolutely! I made the mistake of adding CAI/Tune/Long Tubes onto my 2011 GT all at once.. Needless to say my next tank of gas was about 12 MPG compared to my usual 19 haha!

I can tell! My Average is somewhere around 14.2, sounds like we both have some issues with staying out of the throttle. Be safe out there man!

Yeah agreed, I lost about 4-5 MPG for the first few weeks haha. I've calmed it down a bit now, but still have the need for speed when I get behind the wheel of my 5 O!

That's a great first mod! You're going to love the added noise and power from a CAI. If you're not running a Bama tune yet, I highly recommend it. It will definitely optimize your intake and all of your other mods! With a 4V GT you'll see 20+ RWHP and 20+ RWTQ from a Intake and Tune combo .

I'm definitely looking at the tuners, I'm just kinda hesitant on that because it's my DD and im depending on the car to get me to my college classes, what I'm saying is I'm scared to mess with the computer until I have another car to rely on lol

Well I'm going to give up on looking at the mpg readout. With the 87P Bama tune, it's a hoot. I'm going to finish the pain and get some gears installed next week. Then I'll have to take a six month break on the goodies until I replenish the checking account.
