I don't think anyone implied they didn't have a life. Someone is a lil salty about the price match guarantee

Yeah, I'm gonna say I've been a fan and customer of theirs for years. Idk about u guys but I don't always login to order but I'd like to know how many thousands I've spent there. That being said, can u imagine just how much money goes from us here on the forum? Kona I know has been on this forum for a whole and I know has ordered all kinds of stuff there. They should have taken all that into consideration.

Kinda sucks and makes me have hard feelings knowing that could have been any of us.

^ +1 I did a remodel on my house. Local small lumber yard said they would match the big city Lowe's. When I made my first order, manager said he was loosing $1000, since he said he would match, he did. I ended up spending 35k at that store and never bothered driving 50mi to Lowe's again.

I love AM, and have spend around 2800k for my mods thus far which all came from American Musscle. I was just sharing an experience I had today and was a little surprised that AM didnt match the price or even counter with some lower price in an attempt to sell me.

I used the link that was posted here last weekend for the 119.00 brace. When I got to CJ, it turned out to be 149.00. While 30.00 less than AM it was far from 119.00. So to keep in good with my local Ford house I went there and bought it for 155.00. I'll keep going there for Ford Racing parts.

There are no Ford shops around here that I could find or that were not a dealer. Dealer always tries to screw me with their pricing... I would gladly pay a little more to have it right there when I spend my money.

They get oil changes and stuff when coupons come out. AM has GREAT customer service. Not always the cheapest. But the service is good enough to make up for a little money. A. LITTLE.

Ive had very good experience with AM. However I just looked at the exhaust section for the 2011+ v6 mustangs and... the only headers they sell are BBK.... BBK is **** quality IMO. I went to stage3motorsports who had the BASSANI system I wanted. I was able to find a lower price locally for it but I called stage3motorsports and they matched it plus sent me a free t-shirt and lanyard for giving them the opportunity for my service.

What's wrong with BBK headers. Why are they a piece of garbage?

Yes I have. Plenty of them. However they seem to be either spot on or off a little. I like the throttle bodies, they are great. However exhaust parts are sub par. I wonder if they are outsourced. No problem with intakes either.

My ceramic headers must be spot on then because no issues here. Your the first person that I've heard to be unhappy with the quality of the BBK headers on this forum.

Thats good to hear honestly. I bought BBK parts back around 2003 when I had a Mitsubishi GST. The piping was bent and the ceramic coating chipped. The throttle body was spot on. The exhaust header had some weld warts. The v6 platform does not have as many parts available as other similarly performing 6s so its nice to hear that BBK has stepped to the plate.

Also nice car!

I like purchasing from AM as well, but they don't always have the best prices, especially when it comes to very popular it

For real. All my bbk just bolted right up with no problems. I give them thumbs up but i still refuse to pay the money for the throttle body.

Not really into price matching. If I have to spend the time looking around the net for the best price then the guy with the best price gets my business. Especially if its a difference of $60 in a sub $200 identical part.

The way i see it all theses places have equal customer service until I personally have a problem with them that they don't fix.

Until then, price is the only difference.

First off, let me say I am a huge fan of American Muscle and buy majority of my mods and parts from them since I found there company. Recently, I have been contemplating purchasing a pre-owned or new Strut Tower Brace for my 11 V6. Just to give it a little better feel around sharp turns. I had placed interest on this site for a strut tower brace and a member was kind enough to post cj pony parts was having a sale on the Boss 302 Strut Tower Brace and was selling for $119.99. It was indicated this was a very good quality and respectable brand and did what strut tower braces do. I was also told this was a great price for this mod and to take advantage of it.

Of course being a loyal American Muscle customer I went on their web site and found the same Boss 302 Strut Tower Brace as cj pony parts had and AM's was listed at 179.99, $ 60 dollars more. I called American Muscle spoke with the customer service rep who by the way was very nice. I had inquired about purchasing this Boss 302 Strut Tower Brace and since I knew they price matched would they sell it for the same 119.99. The customer sales rep looked up cj pony parts web site , looked at the 302 Boss Tower Strut Brace and confirmed it was listed at 119.99. The sales rep asked me to hold while he checked with his supervisor to see if they could price match.

The answer was nope, they could not price match and it must of been some type of mistake for the 119.99 price. So needless to say, I purchased the Boss 302 Strut Tower Brace from Cj pony parts for 119.99 with free shipping. I feel like I cheated on AM, lmao but I'm not going to pay $60 dollars more for the same exact Boss 302 strut tower brace. So in the end, American Muscle doesn't always price match. I still love American Muscle, however they just lost this one sale of an item.
Hey Kona,

I'm sorry to hear that we didn't price match this Strut Bar for you. I'm not exactly sure why we didn't, because we absolutely should have. If the item is sold for a cheaper price at a competitor, we will absolutely price match it every time! It sounds like you just caught someone at a bad time and it cost us a sale. Can you please shoot me over the name of the Rep you spoke with? I just want to make sure all of our employee's understand our policy's. (Price Matching - If an item is found cheaper at another location, that is a legit website we will absolutely price match. We will not price match Ebay, Amazon or Craigslist! All we need is a link to the website where the item is located for cheaper.)

Next time you would like us to price match something and you get an answer of this sort, please shoot me a PM and I'll make sure you're taken care of. I'm in the building Monday-Friday 9:00AM-6:00PM if you ever need anything. You can also shoot me an email if it's during the weekend and I'll get back to you ASAP!
