Bama tune

So I have a three custom bama tunes, and I was told that my tunes may be the result of my incomplete codes for my i/m readiness test. Is there any way I can have the stock tune sent with an option to change the gear ratio? (Have 3.73's and dont want to revert to stock and have it mess up my odometer accuracy)
Thanks!

Depending on what modifications you have done to your car, it could affect the readiness of your Mustang for emissions. For example, if you're running a catless mid-pipe we'll turn off the rear o2's so you don't get a CEL but that will throw off the readiness of your o2's.

If you'd like us to make some changes to your tune or tweak a few tables, we can absolutely do that for you. Just shoot me a PM with your order number and I'll have the Bama team reach out to you right away!

No, you shouldn't be charged for shipping for just a new tune. These tunes don't ship out, they're sent to your email. This sounds really weird, definitely shoot me over your order number or give the Bama team a call back if you were charged $20 dollars.

I'm sorry about the mix up!

So I have a question for everyone. Where did you put your Bama Performance ID Plaque? Pictures would be great, also!

I was thinking the same thing? I was looking at on top of the dash in the middle. Still no idea though.

Ford Sync Errors after Tuning

I just retuned my 2014 V6 from 93performance to 87Street. My Ford Sync isn't responding to voice commands now. Has anyone ever experienced a similar problem?

I've seen a ton of different locations for the Bama Plaque's! Dash board, Radiator shroud etc.. Definitely post up some pictures of where you put yours, I'd love to check them out!

I've never seen the Ford Sync not respond after changing the tune. This sounds very odd! Just to insure that it's not possibly something to do with the tune, please give the Bama team a call and they'll be able to help you troubleshoot!

Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 9AM-5:30PM EST. You can hit them up directly at 888.226.9764 and they'll get you squared away!

I definitely look forward to hearing some customer feedback on the Hybrid tune! I can also give you some personal experience on this tune.

I run the Hybrid tune on my 2011 GT and it's my favorite tune by far. The Race tune is a very close runner up but I did notice a tiny loss in low end power. Well, the Hybrid tune gives you the low end grunt of the Street tune but keeps the all out top end of the Race tune. Doesn't get much better than that!

I removed the 13 year old Superchip off the ECU on our 96 SVT Cobra. I then installed the 93 octane Hybrid Race Tune. She feels like a whole new car. Definite more seat of the pants feel in power and acceleration. Unfortunately our local track Maple Grove Dragway stopped test & tune for the season so I don't have numbers. But so far I'm very satisfied. Going to 93 was not a big issue because we only used 93 in our car, usually Shell or Sunoco.

I may have to take a drive to Cecil County Dragway to satisfy my curiosity.

Dan, what is the difference between the Hybrid and your regular tunes? Also what's the main difference between the Performance and the Race tunes? Thanks, Spiney-Dave Reading, PA

So hybrid is a tune for each street, performance and race? I thought the hybrid was its own tune

Is there a way with an SCT Tuner to turn off my CEL For my oxygen sensors? I have an off road H pipe and no sensors. When I had my Superchip in it fooled the ECU into turning off the CEL. Now it's on with my BAMA tune. Thanks, Dave

Hybrid tune is it's own tune. It's basically a tune that combines the street tune (low end) & race tune (top end).

Thanks, if I can't figure it out I'll call BAMA on Monday. I love the tune, car has really woken up. Wish I could take it to the track and legally test it out. I'd love to compare it to my Superchip ET's. My local track had their last Test & Tune / Grudge races on 9-6. No more until next April 😢

Just ask for the o2's to be turned off or just tune for catless and they should with the next set of tunes.

Yea just ask for it in the comments & they replace it with the race tune. But if u want the race tune too just fill out the order form again & don't ask for the hybrid tune. That's the awesome part of having free tunes for life! Haha.

Which subframes did you buy? They are on my short list once I find a pair of Bilstein HD struts.

Hey Guys,

The Hybrid tune is it's own tune. The Hybrid tune is a mix between the Street, Performance and Race tune. It's very similar to the Race tune however, it doesn't sacrifice some low end torque like the Race tune does. It has the low end grunt of the Street tune and the all out performance up top of the Race tune!

I hope this helps clear things up! Let me know if you have any further questions. If you'd like to get the Hybrid tune, just hit the Bama team up and they'll gladly hook you up!

-Dan

I told them I had no cats. I ran the code. Improper oxygen mix bank 2. I'll have to call them tomorrow. I also requested a hybrid tune and got the normal 3 S-P-R. So If the Hybrid is its own tune, I guess I didn't get it.

I requested the hybrid tune and it isn't made for the 04 and older models, oh well. Bama did say they modified my race tune a little more for better throttle response though.

That is correct
Hybrid tunes are not made for our cars since our throttle body is driven by wire

How did you find this out?

I requested in the box at the bottom for my street tune to be the most eco-friendly ("eco-tune") as possible for long highway trips and such. Of course, I got my tunes via email, but there's no way for me to know right now if they even made my street tune any different than a normal street tune.
