Custom Tune Questions

Yo, I have a 2010 GT and an unmarried Bama SCT X3/SF3 tuner with my three custom tunes for my GT;

1) I bought this tuner originally for my 2006 V6 in June and it worked fine. Will this same tuner be able to tune my 2010 GT without running any risks or problems?

2) I've heard Ford can see when you've tuned and returned to stock for warranty work on the 2011's+, but what ab the old 2010 model?

I just wouldnt tune if you're still under warranty and yes if it's unmarried you can use it to tune the gt but then it will become married to it

if you bought the tuner for your v6 then the custom tunes would be specific to your v6. unless you've written bama and had them write and send you new tunes for your 10 then it shouldn't work for the 10. I would think. I could be oober wrong

OP,

As already mentioned above- you will be able to use your SF3 tuner for the 2010 GT since it's unmarried. However, you'll need new custom tunes for the GT first. You can enroll the 2010 GT into our Free Tunes for Life program for $150 at the moment. Then you'll be able to get free tune adjustments, just like you had for the v6!

Let me know if you have any other questions that I can help clarify!

Shane

I asked because I heard the 05-09 tuners couldn't handle 11+ ECU's, I didn't know if 10's were included.

I already have my 2010 GT tunes from Bama ready to be loaded onto the car, I'm just concerned about warranty issues...

The SF3 SCT tuner can be used on any OBDII Mustang from '96-'14. You don't have to worry about any incompatibilities with the tuner. Also, a dealership will have to prove the tune was at fault for a warranty issue to even occur. For instance, if your alternator fails- there's no reason to even check your PCM to begin with, so it should be covered.

Hope this clarifies things!
