Lets pretend i have a Black 2001 Mustang GT (2001 for the hood scoop)... Some may not be from AM though.

1. 18x9/10 Black Saleens
2. Lowering Springs
3. GHIG Super Snake stripe.
4. Blacked out all lights
5. Mach 1 chin/ Grille
6. 8" Antenna.

That might be a little over $2k.

I agree the antenna should be a shorty and rims and tires are a must altho I still have stock rims uggh

Exhaust gears tuner and lowering springs.
Might have a little to spare.

You don't need an intake manifold it is pointless ours is damn good, along with fuel rails and pulleys don't do a whole lot. Don't need any of that^^stuff beside Tb and plenum unless you're f/I.

That throttle body combo wont work with the Edelbrock manifold either. Have to run a competition style or 6061 throttle body. This will also require you to delete the EGR and retune the computer. Better sticking with bolt ons until you are ready to step up to FI. I would love to be at that point too, after owning my car for 5 years when I think Im ready financially something always comes up and derails my plans for the toy. Oh well, maybe when I hit that lottery! LoL

Performance first looks last.
That 2k can get you pretty much all the bolt ons or you could piece together a nice vortech supercharger kit.

our manifold is not great man its made of composite plastic. I changed mine out to a better one with an aluminum cross over but the rest is still just plastic... I may have been wrong posting the Edelbrock manifold as I made the shopping list very quickly getting excited how much 2k could buy me but I would still like one that's not plastic.

I agree with MidnightBlueGT ... my car could use a paint job but there is no rust or major issues with the body and my passenger window could be replaced as its fulla scratches, dirt must have been caught in the weather stripping and scratched it up when rollin the window up and down but that all can wait. would rather have a reliable built car then get the looks just rite when you wont be wrenching as much risking scratches or damage

The stock manifold (with aluminum crossover like you have) is a great for our cars. The only time you would need to upgrade is with a F.I. setup. But no need to change out the stock one on a stock to mildly modded car.

+1 on the suspension system. Thats going to make a huge difference!

Maybe a Bama tuner and some gears pending on what you have left over

I think the first few mods are pretty much the same, no matter what year or model Mustang you have! I agree with what 02GTvert said Exhaust, Gears, Tuner and Lowering Springs are definitely going to be some of the best modifications you can do to your Mustang. You could also add a cold air intake in there as well, that will definitely free up some air into the engine which will benefit you greatly!

Like 96Smoke said, feel free to hit me up and I'll hook you up with the 6% forums discount!

I hope this helps! Remember this is just my opinion, you really can't go wrong with any modification available for your Mustang it just comes down to what your plans are.
