A little over a month ago at the AmericanMuscle.com 2013 car show, there was one item in the raffle that seemed to go unnoticed by many. The item in question is the Raxiom OE-Style GPS Navigation w/Bluetooth & Back-up Camera for (10-14) Mustangs. And below is a pic that was snapped at the show. Shortly after the show, I contacted AM to inquire about it. They were pretty tight lipped about the new item and when it would be officially released. As the days went by, constantly checking AMs website for newly released products, I never seen it pop up. Fast Forward to a week or two ago, I was contacted by AmericanMuscle.com, they were interested in my opinion on the new product from Raxiom. So interested in fact, the offered to send me out one to test and evaluate. More than a week before it's official release. So now for my review... This thing is AWESOME. The one thing I wish I had in my '13 GT/CS is Navigation. And now I do. It was super easy to install. It comes with very detailed instructions, a beautiful wiring harness, and all the cables you would need. It retains, your steering wheel controls, all your sync capabilities, even your climate control settings come up on the beautiful 7" touch screen. Raxiom really out did themselves with this unit, and it's priced extremely well. It looks almost identical to the OEM navigation at less then half the cost, but functions just as well, if not, better! For a similar setup, options in the aftermarket are scarce. The only two I know of are offerings from Scosche and Metra. Both still leave you investing in a nice Double Din Head unit, wiring harness, sync harness, and the adapter center console faceplate. All of which look out of place and can run you twice as much as this unit. The Raxiom OE-Style GPS Navigation w/Bluetooth & Back-up Camera is now available on AmericanMuscle.com for $699.99. It's absolutely a steal, Raxiom and AM will for sure move a lot of these units. Upgrade your Mustangs SYNC equipped base factory radio to a state-of-theart GPS Navigation System with a Raxiom OE-Style Navigation System. Raxiom's Navigation System includes a 7” HD touch-screen LCD display with a factory style dash bezel that repositions the factory controls and re-aligns the CD disc slot for a completely OE-Style appearance. Raxiom's Navigation System uses iGO Primo 2.0 software that includes Text-To-Speech, voice and visual turn-by-turn on screen 2D, 3D, and Green routing directions, as well as 3D building views for major cities. The Raxiom 7” HD full color touch-screen LCD will display SYNC radio and other SYNC controlled functions in a much higher resolution than the standard 2-line factory display and features an auto dimming mode with manual dimmer control. The included full color rear back-up camera has a built in "Instant on" feature. Were it comes on the screen the moment you select reverse. It supports 5 different languages, and retains all Bluetooth, and usb connections. The Raxiom OE-Style GPS Navigation System with Back-up Camera fits 2010 to 2014 Mustangs equipped with "SYNC", including V6, GT, BOSS and Shelby GT500 models. ***Excludes 2010 models equipped with a 6-disc changer.*** I've included some pics of my install and the finished product, I gotta say, I can't find one thing about this that I'm not pleased with. Everytime I get in my car, I find a new feature that I didn't know it had before. 10/10 Great Job AM, another superior product from the amazing relationship you have with Raxiom to bring awesome products to market. Thank You Guys for giving me this oppurtunity! -Dave Moore aka DWC_SmOziLLa I'll be sure to update this post with a link as soon as it hits the market!

Wow, very clean OEM look! Looks like raxiom really did a good job with this. Maybe once all of my kitchen woes are in the rear view mirror then I can start to save up for one of these things

Hey bro. Great time at the dyno day. How do you install the back up camera. Can it be on the factory spoiler? I don't remember you having back up camera.

It was a great day for sure!!! The install of the backup camera is pretty simple, it's only one wire that goes back to it, you don't even need to run a separate power or ground. I haven't installed it yet with my setup because I'd like to stealth all the wiring as much as possible. You could install it in the factory spoiler but that would take some serious skills. That camera that comes with the kit may prove to be to large. The included camera seems as though it's designed to be mounted directly above the license plate and in between the two license plate lights. I had found a pretty sweet license plate frame that has a built in IR Camera with night vision that I'm going to wire up and use the included camera with the second camera channel that's easily selectable, for a front bumper cam, for those pesky curbs. It should tuck nicely behind the grill. Hope this helps!

That's probably all you would have to do. I'm sure someone from AM will chime in. But if that's the case, somebody would trade you real quick.

AMDanBailer is just getting started.
Awesome write up! I'm glad to hear you're really enjoying your new Raxiom Navigation. I also installed this new Raxiom Nav in my 2011 GT and I absolutely love it. This set up has some incredible features that even the factory systems doesn't have!

How cool is the navigation telling you when the speed limit changes, red light cameras ahead, speed traps etc..

I'm going to contact Raxiom directly and see what changes would need to be made for this system to work on a 2010 with a 6 disc cd changer!

-Dan

Thanks a lot Dan! The Raxiom Navigation is a blast! The only feature I would ask Raxiom to add, would be to have the choice of selecting a mustang as your icon and maybe being able to upload your own images for the background.

Switching to a single disc would be very easy. How often do people even use CDs anymore? Let alone 6, lol.

Someone would trade you in a heartbeat even up, save your money. I'm sure ford wants a pretty penny for it.

Due to such high demand, AmericanMuscle.com decided to give the Raxion Navigation unit an early release. It is available today for $699.99 with Free Shipping.

700$ seems pretty steep when you most people have a free one on their phones these days...

Navigation system that is.

It just sucks cause If you don't have sync already in your car the $700 just turned into $1500

I suppose. I'm also somewhat old school with this stuff I guess. I have no problem plugging my iPod, or a single disc CD player.

I just purchased one of these and am anxiously awaiting the delivery. I have a 2012 GT that currently has Sirius satellite radio and I want to know if the GPS will make use of the same antenna or will I need to use the GPS antenna included in the kit? Be nice if I didn't have install another antenna on the exterior.

So because I don't have SYNC i cannot use this product?
That is an EPIC fail on raxiom's part. I would imagine more than half the mustangs out there do not have SYNC, so they cut their customer base in half.
I'm not spending another 700 dollars to have SYNC installed too, I'll just have to look at other nav systems....lame, I really wanted this.

This looks promising Dave, but what is the real deal with the feedback on it. I'm guessing you are using it on some trip? I need some good feedback. Just because it looks nice, doesn't mean it's worth the money.

Sucks it doesn't work without SYNC, but I have yet to find an aftermarket NAV system that does work with SYNC and more importantly the steering wheel buttons. So to have a system built and dedicated to the SYNC function of the Mustang is pretty cool.

I'm interested, but I need some more feedback on system itself, how well the NAV works, the response of the SYNC to your commands, etc.

AMDanBailer is just getting started.
Hey guys,

I also wrote a detailed review on this item! I installed it on my 2011 GT last weekend. We'll be coming out with an installation/review video shortly!

Check out my write up at Raxiom Navigation w/ Bluetooth & Back-up Camera (10-14)
