I have a question for Airaid's Cold Air Intake and 'Race' Cold Air Intake (links below). One is tune required and the other isn't, although they look identical.
I do have a tuner and plan to use it in the future, but I'd like to remain on the stock tune for now (still have warranty). If I buy the no-tune intake and get a custom tune for it later, will I get the same gains if I bought the tune-required 'Race' intake with a custom tune?
Jayday20 nailed it! The difference between the two Airaid intakes is one has a removable insert, while the other does not. With the MAF insert installed, you'll be able to run the car on the stock tune and still see gains. However, when you do decide to order a Bama custom tune, it's best to remove the insert and order tunes for the race Airaid for max performance!
If there's anything else I can clear up for you, just let me know!
