Why so expensive?

Out of curiosity why are the caliper covers so expensive? $200 for a set seems a little steep lol. And center caps, $50 a pop? These things are made out of plastic right? Hahah

Some have more reason to be than others though lol. The center cap is 1/3 the price of my wheel itself lol

Caliper cover are a waste of money IMO. Have you seen them in person? I wasn't impressed.

Or maybe spring for Brembo, Baer, or Wildwoods and not pretend you have anything impressive down there!
Reminds me of a car I saw that had his drums painted yellow! Yes, drums!

Agree with everyone else. Save your money and just paint your brakes.

EthanGT03,

The MGP caliber covers certainly aren't cheap, but they aren't cheaply made either. The covers are made from 6061-T6 Aerospace aluminum to reduce weight, shed heat, and prevent corrosion down the road. Plus they're nicely painted upon arrival. Needless to say, there's more than what meets the eye for these covers!

Now the center caps are another story. The only center caps that are listed for $50 are the OEM Ford center caps we carry. This pricing simply reflects our cost from Ford. All of the aftermarket AM caps are listed around $7.99 a piece, since we have more control over their cost.

Hope this helps clarify things for you guys. Let me know if you have anymore questions about other parts!

Shane

Well thanks for the clear explanation! I have two of those cobra center caps that are messed up and just can't find myself justifying $100 for two center caps haha

I understand. $100 is a lot to pay for two center caps. I wish there was more we could do about the price. Unfortunately my hands are tied on this one!

Hit me up if you don't already have the forum discount code. I'd be happy to provide it for you.

no offense, the caliper covers are high priced dust covers. Get a stencil and some paint.
