Tuninf question

Sorry AM, I just do not have time to call during the day as I work from early morning to the time you guys are closed.
So here is my question:
I have a 03 cobra, stock except for magnapacks.
The car has a ford retune(from the previous owner) and it livened up the car a little, it boosted the PSI about 2lbs, so I now run around 10-11psi.
I want to get a hand held so I can turn off the cats code when I install my offroad mid as I don't really wanna use MILs(I've heard stories of them breaking every so often)
With that information, will you be able to match, and or beat the time by ford?
Thanks for your time!

You might be better off sending a message directly to American Muscle. Don't get to eat lunch?

No such thing as a tune to raise boost...

My recommendation for any fi vehicle is a tune in person on a dyno.

Take a pic of the lower. At this point I definitely recommend a dyno pull to check everything out before moving forward.

The gauge could be slightly off tho.
Most gauges tend to be, it looks like its hitting ten for a second but it's slightly below it. So it is probably 8

Been running mil's on the 2v for several years with no issues. Had the rear o2's turned off on the cobra when I had it tuned.

I've noticed AM will get back to you sooner if you put their name in the name of the thread.

Don't quote me but, I think I've read before that AM/BAMA doesn't tune FI cars. Might be a different story with an OEM SC.

I have never heard of a tune that increases boost. I personally would get things looked at if I were you. My guess is not an OEM pulley on SC. Then it was tuned accordingly.

xhgwx,

We can absolutely tune for Terminators! The custom tunes for these stock 03-04 Cobra's mostly involves fueling and timing. Since it has a roost style supercharger, there's no possible way to increase the boost through the tune. If you're seeing higher boost than stock, your gauge may be off, or you may have a lower pulley installed. I would definitely check to see if the lower pulley is aftermarket, since we know the upper is stock. It's important for the Bama Team to be aware of your total modifications to create the safest and most accurate custom tune.

That being said, the Bama tune will tune for 03-04 Cobras with complete bolt-on mods. This includes intakes, exhaust, upper pullies, etc. Where they draw the line is aggressive lower pullies, ported blowers, or aftermarket fuel injectors.

Give me a shout if you have more questions. I'd be happy to clarify things!

Shane

If you decide to go the mail order tune route please take the time to datalog a few times as you can max the factory pump and maf with just an upper pulley. Not a risk i'd be willing to take as either can cost you a motor
