Raxiom Headlight question for AM

Does anybody know if Raxiom is going to release the 2010 style projector headlights for the 2005-2009 Mustangs with normal (non smoked lenses). I really like the style, but I don't like the smoked lenses, and while the chrome ones have clear lenses, I think they look cheap and ruin the look of the car. I know there are some companies out there that sell what I'm talking about, but I'd rather go with a company I know and trust.

I've been asking the same thing about the 2010-2012 Raxiom projector headlights. I would love the black housing with the clear lens, but it seems they aren't going to be making that an option. It's either clear with chrome or smoked with black. I ended up breaking down and buying an HID projector retrofit kit for my a spare set of halogen headlight assemblies. Still in the process of finishing the project.

You and I have similar taste with headlights. I've always liked the dark background headlights with clear lenses. Sort of like the 03-04 Cobra headlights, compared to the earlier 99-01 Mustang headlights. The Terminator Cobra is what got me hooked on this style to begin with.

As far as I know, Raxiom isn't in the process of planning of building a headlight like this. Which doesn't mean it will never happen, it's just not happening right now. I've presented an idea similar to this for the 10-12 Mustangs, but haven't said anything about the 05-09's yet. I think this would be a great idea/style for the early S197 Mustangs. Maybe I can get something going with Raxiom moving forward!

I'll see what I can do for you guys. If anything comes up, I'll post back in this thread!

Shane

A clear lens should also help with the poor light output you hear about the smoked/black assemblies having

Agreed! That's the best part about having a dark background headlight with a clear lens. You end up with a sinister looking machine with perfect visibility at all hours of the day. It's the best of both worlds!
