SR springs

I see the SR springs are on clearance for $99, usually they are just on sale. Are these about to be replaced by another type spring(specific rate) or discontinued totally?

Neither! We just have an overstock of the SR springs and decided to through them up on clearance. We do this sometimes for overstock items to help our customers out with a killer deal and assist us with making room in the warehouse. It's a win-win in our eyes!

Don't worry, the SR springs won't be going anywhere. We've had nothing but incredible feedback with these springs, ever since they've first arrived to AM. Which is why they're here to stay!

Can someone post up a link to share with other members that might want to take advantage of this?

My pleasure! Thanks for posting up the link for other forum members You're going to love the way this thing rides & handles with the SR lowering springs!

What kind of work are you getting done that's taking so long?

Took it in for bad alternator bearing. While it was there they replaced the LCD screen on the radio(cracked when it was in single digits), new driveshaft because of a clunk when taking off, new rear lower control arms due to loud squeaking when cold. Then they found sway bar links were squeezing out and chasis ears pinpointed more noise from the sway bar mount bushings. Found there is an updated sway bar so that has been ordered 3 times now(lost the other 2) along with new sway bar bushings.

I have been in a rental for 3 weeks now, hopefully will get the car back this week. Been waiting patiently to install my SR springs with Koni STRs,GT500 mounts, Steeda upper control arm and adj. panhard.

Jeez! That's some rough luck you've been having. I hope the dealership is taking care of your rental car payments!

At least you're getting this all squared away now and the issues aren't randomly popping up way down the road. Nothing is worse than just being out of warranty and experiencing a bunch of hidden issues that are finally started to revile themselves.

Hope you get the car back this week, as planned. Then get a chance to throw the new suspension in. Let me know what you think about the upgrades once you get a chance to test them!

I noticed these don't work for convertibles. I have a 2014 v6 what do you recommend for springs for convertibles?

The SR springs we're specifically designed for a Mustang coupe, but you'll be okay using them with a convertible. I know there's more than a few guys other there doing so, with on problems. You'll notice several brands like Eibach or H&R rate their springs for both coupes and convertibles. This is basically the same deal, the springs will work for both. They're just optimum for a coupe.

Hope this helps!

The SR Springs were a huge hit in the monthly sale a while back. I'll pass this information along and hopefully we see them again!

I would have to agree you with you on that as well! The more feedback and recommendations we're to receive the better chance they're going to be made available. Just to go on record I can't guarantee anything but we're always here to help get the suggestions to the right people!

I do have a question for one of the AM Guru's on here. I have a '14 V-6 Perf Package Mustang. On the website it states for the '14 to use these springs I have to use Ford Racing M-18183-C upper strut mounts, is this true? I have asked this question on the forum and was told that I did not need to purchase the mounts, while someone that I asked on the AM website stated that I did. If I need to buy both the springs and the upper mounts, then would it be better just to buy on of the Eibach springs kits made specifically for the '11 - '14's?
Thanks...

I have a 14 with the perf package and I just had my springs installed. All I needed was the springs and a new panhard bar. Nothing else. Hope that helps.
