Forgive my ignorance, but why would one purchase the RTR wheels at almost twice the price of the AMRs, especially since they look almost the same and OP is on a budget?

I had heard a lot of problems happening with the AMR's and I wanted a wider tire on standard setup rims.

I haven't heard anything negative about the RTR's... I've had some bad luck with aftermarket for this car.

Why does it matter who paid for the parts or what discounts were taken?

But sucks about the scratches and issues with the wheels.

Issues are taken care of, new Center caps and adapter key should be here tomorrow, the scratch isn't really noticeable to anyone, I miss it cleaning the rims sometimes, you have to have the right lighting to see it, and be very close to the rim.

Op doesn't seem like he's trying to take advantage or anything, as an active duty Myself I take no offense to him taking that mil discount on behalf of his parents. Besides, I serve so my loved ones won't ever have to.
As far as your parents paying and gifting a lot of stuff OP, that's awesome but I hope you do some work as well so you can see what it's like to earn things yourself. When I was a teenager I was angry at my parents because all my friends had cellphones, cars, and got to buy their lunch everyday. They would not buy me anything and made my brother and I work for anything and everything. Now that I am active duty and make a decent living it's nice being able to have what I want and I understand now. Just my .002
Anyways OP,
Congrats on the purchases and good choices!
