AM tuners...

So I recently purchased a vehicle from a friend and the hand held tuner along with it(purchased through AM and the vehicle was enrolled in the free tunes for life). Now I was under the impression that as long as the vehicle and tuner are already enrolled you are good to go. I called bama and apparently I have to pay another $150 to re enroll in the program my tuner and vehicle are already enrolled in, instead of simply switching a name... Don't get me wrong I have another mustang currently enrolled in the free tunes for life from a tuner I had purchased through AM so I'm familiar with the tunes process, and I can see if the tuner had been purchased somewhere else but come on...really? $150 just to do a name change??
Now I have been a loyal customer of AM for the past 2 years now and I usually have nothing bad to say about them but i think this is absolutely ridiculous.

Jlp06,

I do see where you're coming from as far as a simple name change for the Free Tunes for Life program. However, the Free Tunes for Life program is only valid for the customer who originally purchased the tuner and for the car that was originally enrolled. This is Bama's current policy that's written in a link under the "Specs" tab on every Bama Tuner product page. Here's a direct link to the Free Tunes for Life policy terms that I'm referring to.

I'm truly sorry for any inconvenience this causes you! I hope you understand the Bama Tuning Specialist you spoke with was just following the company policy.

If there's anything else I can clarify or help you with, please feel free send me a PM. I'm always willing to help any of our customers where I can!

Shane

Thank you for clearing that up Shane. I have had nothing but great service from AM, unfortunately not Bama. Rest assured I will continue going through AM for great quality parts but I will be going to my local shop for actual dyno tuning from now on. On my previous mustang as I said before getting the tune correct and always having them forget about my tune was frustrating, so I'm just not gonna risk it. Thanks again Shane

Thank you for the kind words and continuing to be a loyal AM customer! We're certainly privileged to have your support.

Although, I'm sorry we no longer have you as a Bama customer. Maybe down the road you'll feel differently. As we've been making a lot of changes to the Bama Team for the better!
