Bama race tune as daily driver...

Hey y'all !

I finally got my BAMA race tune to work after 2 revisions and a few updates of the tuner...

I had a question...probably asked a gazillion times...I was doing some research and chatting and I noticed some people testify that the BAMA RACE TUNE is unsafe to use as a daily driver for the engine...as timing is pushing limits and can damage engine in long run.

Best answer ?

Thanks

DM

My guess is because you have to stay at higher rpms and that is not good for the engine.

Bama as a tuning company is very conservative with their tunes. Before I went to MPT, I drove on their race tune daily, no issues. It's really not all that aggressive in comparison. I'd say it's perfectly safe for your daily.

Awesome! Glad to hear your Bama tune is in good shape now. Yes, it's perfectly safe to drive on the Race Tune year round. I sure do!

We recommend the tune for "track use" because it's more aggressive than the Street and Performance tunes. However, that doesn't mean it's dangerous for daily driving. Just be conscious of the aggressive throttle response!

Hey Dan !

called in and spoke with someone at Bama...i couldn't really get them to send me the parameters you need to make sure all is going well and i am getting out of the Race tune what I should be getting...gave him a few values and he said everything sounds right...but I want to make sure and data log all the required parameters...

Could you tell me what I need to look out for ? After 2 revisions of the tunes I want to be 101% sure...

Thanks.

It sounds like everything is running 100% and you're in good shape. But we can just datalog all of the parameters for you. What is your contact information? I'll have our head tuner contact you directly to datalog with you.
