American Muscle let down

Sooooo... I owned my 2011 Mustang for a mere 6 months, and decided to buy a brand new 2014. During the 6 months of ownership of the 29011, I purchased the programmer and free tunes for life, grille, front bumper, headlights, tail lights, and a host of other things from American Muscle, even waited patiently for things on backorder. No worries.

I unmarried the tuner from the 2011, and call this morning to get a tune written for the 2014. The sigh in the voice of the person set the tone for me. Not transferable. I was my own worst enemy on this one by not paying attention and reading the disclosure. Thanks to Dan for reaching out with great customer service and meeting me in the middle for something that was not their fault at all.

Talking to a group of friends about this right now who all now have jaws dropped. They have not heard of this either. They have now been made aware of this so this hopefully happens less in the future.

But you bought a new car? I am a little lost as too why you thought it would be free for life like that. So when you trade to 2016 and 2024 they still go for free? Different cars, different computer codes and all? I have redone tunes 4 times in 6 months but it is on my car i have owned since I bought the tuner. I havent ever looked into it but my assumption would have been this is the case.

Wow. I'm completely shocked. No words to describe what you went thru. This is so unfathomable.

I feel you. I really hate when I go to a buffet and I eat my fill. Then I go home take a shiit and three hours later I wanted to eat again. To my utter disgust the restaurant said I have to pay again.

What the HELL?!? I paid for All I Can Eat!!! It's the same day!!! Hell its only been like three hours since I left the restaurant. I mean I still have the receipt! Why shouldn't I be able to come back after leaving, after taking a nap, a shiit and a shower, and jerked off to some porn, and then come back again to eat?!? That's bullcrap

So what if the restaurant has a rule written on the wall and receipt and on their website that says "All you can eat per person per visit only."

I demand to be able to eat for the whole week and a day cuz I paid for ALL I CAN EAT! Hell I should be able to bring my cousins in and they can pinch eat for me after I'm done eating while I run some errands then come back at night to eat some more.

Not transferable. Awesome. Have to buy it again? What kind of deal is that? If American Muscle is doing business this way, I'm done. This is no monopoly. I already had plans to buy the grille and all, as I love the billet black grille look. This deal just did it for me. There's plenty of other companies out there to tune cars and sell parts. Looks like my kid and I will be taking our business elsewhere. Total disappointment.
Hey,

I'm sorry to hear that you're upset. We never like to hear this type of feedback! However, I think this is just a miscommunication. We mention on our site a few different times that Free Tunes For Life only applies to the vehicle you bought the tuner for. If you sell the vehicle and would like to tune your new Mustang you can buy back into the program for a one time fee of $150.

That can be found Here.. Since you weren't aware of this and I do value your business. How about I split the $150 with you? We'll hook you up and get you custom tunes for your new Mustang for $75. If you'd like to do this feel free to shoot me a PM and I'll gladly make this happen!

Congratulations on the new ride!

I hope this clears things up. Let me know if you have any questions or need some assistance in the near future! I'm only a PM away.

-Dan

Yea they say it on their site. And you aren't the first person to make a thread like this..... I know this sounds harsh, but you need to do more research.

That's why I have no qualms with sending Dan and the rest of the AMsters at American Muscle busy.

If only buffet restaurants would allow me a 50% discount on same day repeat business lol

You did have free tunes for life, on the 2011. If you want more FREE tunes for the new car, tuner needs to be unlocked and you have to purchase the NEW set of tunes for life for your new car.

Dude, they never said free tunes for life for all the Mustangs you own. If I buy three different cars at the same time, should they have to write tunes for all of them. AM is being very generous discounting you. Proof positive the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

No other company will offer free tunes for life that is transferable. The fact that Dan stepped in to split the cost to you is fantastic customer service.
