shift ball boot adapter split

Well this is to Dan I was installing a new shift ball last night. Took the old one off started putting on the boot adapter and it split in half. Would you happen to know if their are different threads on my model of car or are they all the same? I just figured I would ask kinda bummed it broke.

That's very odd. I've never heard of that splitting like that! Let's look into this for you and make sure we get it taken care of, quickly. Please give our CS team a call and we'll gladly look into this for you! We'll have a replacement shipped right away.

Our Mustang Experts are here Monday-Friday from 9AM-9PM EST and Saturdays from 9AM-5:30PM EST. If you want to hit them up, their number is 866.727.1266. I can also have one of them call you directly.

Hope this helps!

-Dan

There's definitely different thread options. However, anything you got from us should fit onto the Steeda shifter without a problem!

Can you link me to what set up you went with?

ahh.. that's definitely the problem. Obviously for this to work correctly the thread pattern on the shifter and shift knob need to be the same. At this time you'll need to track down a shift knob that has the correct pattern. Our CS team can definitely work with you on this and make sure you're in good shape!
