Why does BAMA lock?

I sent for new tunes to accept my new 3.73 gearing. When I received the email telling me it would take a week, I called BAMA. When I told the rep that I was getting my gears before receiving my tune, the rep told me matter-of-factly that I could make the gear change on my own with my current tunes. I believed him. My X3 Tuner has No provisions to make edits.

Why did Bama's representative give me bad information.?

You can. You reload the tune and it'll give you the option to edit before you continue with actually loading the tune. They didn't give you bad information.

I did that. I know my equipment. The edit options were locked out. After my original post, I talked to another BAMA rep and even he said that the programers have the ability to lock out edits. And amazingly, my new tunes were in my mailbox 20 minutes later, WITH the ability to make edits.

So, if anyone orders tunes from BAMA, be sure to tell them to leave the ability for user edits.

Hey Ted - Sorry about the trouble and misinformation here - I need to clear some of this up and I wanted to ask how old your last tune revision was as Bama is now sending their tunes with the ability to have this adjusted. Sorry about the bad info but that's just a little human error on their end! Did the Tuning Specialist you spoke with ask when the revision was sent? They're more than happy to have you set up with their new tune where you'll have the ability to have this changed on their end! Let me know if you're to have any other questions and I'm here to help!

Alex

Nate - That's the ticket! Older tunes being sent from Bama we're indeed locked but their newest ones will give the user to edit some parameters.

I'm happy to hear that they were able to get you set up so quickly!!! Please let me know if there's anything else I can lend a hand with and sorry about the trouble again!

American Muscle is a great resource for any Mustang owner. They have always provided me with good products and better service. This was a glitch that has obviously been corrected.
