Ok, I really like American Muscle's site... but tonight while researching if anyone has powdercoated their MMD fuel door, I came accross a thread where others (um, many others) have had the exact same issue - complete with pictures that look EXACTLY like the one I took & sent to AM customer service about a month ago (mine is the tungsten grey, the black one is an example from another victim lol). The thread states AM has been aware of this issue dating back in 2012.
So my question is, why on earth:
1. Is the item continuing to be sold to loyal customers in 2015, with full knowledge that the item was defective and had issues as early as 2012;
2. not immediately offering a refund or replacement to all customers who contact you experiencing said defect...?
That is just bad business, and that is something I am not used to from AM. I was a loyal customer for years...!
Can you assist me with this faded fuel door, or am I to join the legions of MMD Fuel Door owners who will eventually need to pay at least double the retail price in order to correct the problem on their own? Thanks for allowing me to vent my frustrations on this forum, MustangEvolution fans!!
