You guys have fun today. I'm bummed that I'm stuck here in Afghanistan and not able to attend this year. I had a blast last year, and enjoyed meeting some of you guys. Make sure you post some pics, so I can at least live vicariously through those that attend.

We missed you and the wife this year. We got the same great spot this year but they moved the food vendors so we didn't have the same problem as last year. Hope to see you guys at the next one.

Thanks guys. Some great pics indeed. I talked to my wife last night, and she was talking about us missing the show also. We should be there next year I hope unless I end up doing a second year here....if I do though, I'm going to try and swing a trip home to make it. Keep the pics coming, and have a safe drive home guys.

Set of lights (Courtesy of ProjectPony) that I sprayed with two coats of VHT Nite Shades and four coats of clear. Sanded, buffed, and polished to perfection.

Was there an Evo group pic again this year? I left early so didn't check to see if anyone was gathering at the main stage.

Read he wasn't the forum liaison anymore and stopped shaving to show love for the beard. Only had a few days growth so no comparison but didn't find him anyway

Had a nice chat with Alex. He said they should have a new guy for MEVO in the next 2 weeks and to hassle him with questions non stop.

I left around 2pm and went back to the best western.

It's VHT Nite Shades. Paint preparation and patience is key.

The clear is Dupli Color Acrylic Enamel. It is extremely sensitive to humidity and temperature. There are much better clear coats on the market. Personally I prefer BASF shot through my gravity fed gun.

I've had fun in mud before, but sheetrock was not involved.

I'm at odds with my car right now. I have a few miles left on the tires and then it will be parked until I get the funds together for some new rubber.

That little convertible V8 go-cart almost planted itself into a ditch last night. The road was wet, and when I pulled into the main road the rear tried to pass the front. All I could do was maintain a little throttle and correct the slide. Normally that is an easy job, but when the front tires decide to slide too, all bets are off on what the results are, despite your driving experience.

Don't get me wrong; I giggled like a little school girl while drifting my way back into my lane. I would have prefered the slide to have been voluntary though.

Great pictures Kona. I see your car and the GT-500 parked next to yours. I see a little of that Silver Mustang with a Stripe on the hood. It sure looks familiar......

Oh wait! THAT'S MY CAR!

That silver stang is one good looking pony. Soooooo smooth! Fun show but way way way too hot. Mustangs were rolling out by the droves between noon and 1 pm. Just too hot. AM needs to have set up misting machines all over the place. 108 degrees that day!

Ronnie left early than he was supposed to and parked way out with a couple of other ME members. Apparently, the five minutes to wait while several people needed to purchase some ice for their coolers, was too much time. So off he and some others went. He was parked out in the sun and 2011 Kona and Myself were in a shaded part from the trees. Even with the nice breeze, it was still hot.

Ronnie had to take off early because of Mario. By the time everyone went to the stage for the drawings and ticket draws, Kona and I were the only ones left.

I'm not sure what Ronnie you are talking about and I sure don't know anything about needing to buying ice for coolers, but Ronnie and Mario were not parked way out in the sun. They were with us under trees and 3 large canopies on the entrance road. We had a great spot to watch all the cars enter the event and never had to worry about the sun. Yup, it was hot and eventually Mario had enough and Ronnie took him back to the hotel. We met up with them again after the show at the hotel. Ronnie - you can be sure that I will take you up on your invite to visit you and Mario the next time I am in your area. Great show, great friends, great cars. Thank you American Muscle!

Yup I can vouch to this, we were in 3 canopies with Ronnie, Mario and Rob and the rest of the guys.. It was still hot though but it's better than not having the canopies. It was just too hot that time at one point I was wishing it rain.. Too bad I didn't see you and Kona Blue...
