Same for me. Also stayed there last year. This year we are staying Friday and Saturday night instead of Friday night and then driving back down to VA after the show on Saturday. We learned our lesson!

Jealous I can't make it this year. Way too long of a drive unfortunately. I know I could hop in DiE's back seat after a flight but it's just not the same without your baby there.

Have fun without me 😢

Alright, pick you up at Dulles airport. Or any other on the way up there. You know you want to browse that tent sale.

Katie (my daughter) and I are registered. Not sure where we are staying yet. Can't decide between the Holiday Inn and Best Western.

I wish I could go. It is SO DANG FAR!!! Wish they had a closer location.

My wife and I pondered the idea of flying. But as Oxford mentioned, no point in going if your car isn't there.

Once you get to the show and park, you don't go back to your car until it is time to leave because there is so much to do. So it's as if your car isn't there anyways!

Not sure if I can make it this year. If I get the job I'm interviewing for tomorrow, I'll have 2 weeks training before school starts. Probably in mid August right before college starts up again. It was great last year though, a little too hot...

I have been the last two years and did not bring my ride. I figured that I did not want to stand/sit next to it and miss out on seeing the other rides. This year I am not so sure what to do. I would drive KryptonKnight if it was possible to park with like rides but to be randomly mixed in with all years, models, colors, mods, etc is just not very appealing.

Any opinions on being in the show or just attending?

Huh? That really doesn't make any sense. Your parked with mustangs. How do you want them to park you?

8 hour one-way trip. Half of that being through Ohio... I'm on the fence. We'll see how I feel at the end of the month. Leaning towards it.

Ford National at Carlisle has a good way to do it. How about since there are 50 years of mustangs we park by generations.

Sadly, I'm going to have to sit this one out as much as I don't want to. I'm just waiting on my AMCOM security clearance and going to Afghanistan for a year. I had a great time meeting up with you guys, but I should be back for 2017 unless they offer me more $$$ to stay longer. I'll keep up with the forums and expect to see lots of pics. And Ronnie, if you're reading this, you can win this year.

8 hour, that's great. I'm going on a 10 hour , 600 mile one way trip for a mustang two day car cruise this coming May. Be gone for the weekend. Leaving Thursday and coming back home on Sunday.

Long drives in the mustang are the best. Just last September I drove 1000 miles straight through with just bathroom breaks from Missouri to my house in Maryland. Plus I'm old, 41 and I did it like it was nothing. The AM show is amazing!

Sterling, Ox, Ahh man, I'm getting weepy, Stang - We're hoping you'll be able to make it up.

Looking forward to seeing everyone again and meeting some new folks. We might need Name Tags this time! I think I'll be wearing a big one on my bag. Most people just see the beard and go "YO ALEX!"

I'm excited to see everyone again. I know it's going to be another busy day and we're already moving full steam ahead planning and, boy oh boy do we have something planned this year. It's going to make last years look childish.

Krypton - As easy as it sounds once the day of show rolls happens and we have boots on the ground (we're usually there around 5:30-6am) getting cars to park by year is a logistical nightmare.

We want to get everyone in as fast as possible because we literally had traffic backed up for miles in all directions the past couple years. if we had even a little bit more space like carlisle does we could probably get away with it but then we run into, WMR, RMR, (insert every color imaginable, local chapters, cruises) you name it, everyone ones to park together.

It's really tough and we want to accommodate everyone as best as possible and make sure that it's another memorable time.

Let the record show that I have zero control over the weather but I'm hoping it's a little more relaxed, I still have tan lines!

That would be a great idea and awesome but to not go because of that is silly. The show is freaking amazing. Besides there are more S197 models there than any other generation mustang

10-4 on the logistical nightmare of just parking without any preferential treatment. My crew normally stand near the end of the entrance road to watch and listen to the parade of stangs. The rides are pretty much already inside by the time we walk over to the entry gate.

I miss out on the chaos of parking and so I will gladly withdraw/erase any negative aspersions as none were intended.

Haven't registered yet but planning on going again. Too awesome to miss! Park your car and walk, there are so many sweet rides! I also vote for less heat. My white azz can't take a full day of sun. Or was it the AM girls that had me so sweaty? See what you started NewMtang! Shirts shirts shirts! Lol
