Re: S197 Brake Upgrades - Maximize stock brake performance

The Stock Brake street1 Kit - s197 forum price is unchanged and is $295.

The Stock Brake Street2 Kit- s197 price is slightly higher due to cost increases on the rotors. The forum price on this kit is $525.

These kits are a nice upgrade to the stock units. On the street, you will find a slightly better stopping ability with the upgraded pads and better pedal feel (firmer) with the SS lines.

The bigger benefit would be seen on the track/autocross as the pads with the SS lines will provide better braking ability and the higher boiling point brake fluid will allow you to run the brakes hotter without boiling the fluid.

These are the best 'street' pad that you can use both on the track and street. You can upgrade to a better pad for road-racing, but you'll notice additional dusting and noise with street driving.
