Verts at the Drag Strip Enter Here

Just wondering how many other vert owners take their cars to the track

who does it for fun, and who does it with the goal of going faster every time!

I do...and keep getting faster.

11.9 this past visit and should be 11.7 next visit. Nothing like dropping the top and cruising to the track, put the top up and run 11's, then drop the top and drive home.

Best of both worlds.

I plan on it. But I haven't made it yet. As soon as I can squeeze these these Hoosiers under my car I will be there.

Mine is a cobra so you can still run for the title lol.

Be careful depending on the track. Doesn't take much to require a roll bar

If you run 11s in a vert, don't you need a roll cage? At least at a NHRA sanctioned track

13.49 is required to have a roll bar. I am hoping for 12s but who knows what I will run. I don't think my redneck track will care about no roll bar though. Only one way to find out.

Re: Verts at the Drag Strip Enter Here

thats my fear, is my local track is a big NHRA stickler. I made one pass under helmet time, and they told me to helmet or park it.

well make a few passes sand baggingmso your time is slow. then when you feel you have it down, go for it. at least you will have a good pass if you get booted. if they are sticklers and you run faster than a 13.49 you will get booted without a roll bar. thats a 4 or 5 point, i dont remember.
