Went to track

So my buddy invited me to go to the track today. It was about 94 degrees and super humid so I would've been happy breaking into the 13s. My best run was a 14.06 at 97 mph with a 2.1 60ft on street tires.
Mods are 4.10s, SCT 93 octane tune, BBK shorties, o/r xpipe, magnaflow magnapacks, BBK CAI, BBK 78mm throttle body plenum combo, prof products typhoon intake.
I was fine running that granted the conditions. My best time ever was a 13.78 a few years ago so I believe I can beat that with cooler weather.
My buddy was running a 09 CTS-V and he ran a 13.4 @ 110mph ( he couldn't get traction) I pretty much had him at the 1/8 and then He pulled hard. I will post a slip.

a 09 CTS-V supercharged running 14 flat? wow I thought it would have been lower then that like high 12's or low 13's. You have a good running car. When I put my charger on my car that has a stroker motor I'm hoping I run what you are or high 12's. I dont want to go below 12's though.

Why don't you want to be quicker than 12's?

To the op that's not bad for the conditions. Had people calling me to run last night, just too hot for it around here. A s/c car would lose 30-50 hp in this heat easily

Well I mean I want to run faster then 12's but I dont want to put a roll cage in my car. Dont you have to put one in if you get in the 11's? They last time I was at the track they got onto a dude for not having one when he ran low 11's.

Yeah it was really toasty and super humid. That is why I was happy with my time and so was the CTS-V. He has a 12 sec mph at 110 if he can hook. Since I ran my 13.7 I added just the tuner and the plenum so on a cooler night I hope to beat that time if I can hook. By then I should have a set of Nitto DRs

I have a 2000 GT convertible 5 speed and yea all the mods that I have listed are all I have.

oh wow, I have a 2000 gt auto with newly built stroker motor with a 3000 stall and ever mod other then charger so I should be in the low 13's or high 12's with D/r maybe then.

13.49 for vert. 11.49 for hard top.

I run 11's in my vert and they haven't said a word to me

Nhra tracks are 10.50 or faster.

They are a ihra track now but.. I went through tech last time with the top down and was running 11s that night

Aw okie, well thats good then im sure they make you wear a helmet though. I havent been in a while so I didnt how strict they were all I know is that im not putting a roll cage in mine.

When I get home and run it I hope I do good for the mods ive done to it. If im not at least 13.5 or below then i will be disappointed but hey thats what the supercharger is for.

Where are you running at? PLENTY of time in there.

in 2011 I ran 14.0 @ 99 with a 2.1X 60 100% stock in 104 degrees last July. Atco is prefect elevation though. Or lack there of haha.

I was at Maple Grove in PA. I did hit a 13.7 there on a cool night. And that was before I got my tuner and some other mods.

Yea there were a few times when we went back to back to back runs. It was a slow day at the track. Yeah if you come to the track I will go.
My tires a crappy to so I didn't hook well either. I'm going to get a set of drag radials soon.

When you trying to go? Maple is as close to me as ATCO, I am in the middle sort of.
