Sorry, I guess I didn't make myself clear enough.
I wouldn't run these full time, only at the track.
Then switch back to the wheels you have for street duty.
But, if you are not serious about racing, then it would be a waste of money for you.

P.S. People like me who are serious about drag racing do crazy things like have another complete set of wheels and tires or two, just for the track.

Haha, all you guys need to sign up to watch the video is an email address and a password and a fake name if you want. It takes two seconds and you don't have to actually use it.

I think the conversations earlier got kinda side tracked with the numbers 13.7 was confused with 13.07 and 13.70, big difference, but conversation went sideways after that.

Nicely done, whoever recorded the video didn't care much for the outcome though!

PS - you guys can watch the video even if you don't have Facebook. The video is public so you don't even have to log in to see it, just click the link.

Oh definitely. And the driver of the SS was wearing some shirt from a "Pony Wars" event that had a picture of a GT and an SS on the front, although there was no smack talking on his shirt haha

Yeah ricers will always talk smack. Him and his highly modified can only squeeze off a 12 such a shame . Anyway I have that one going on and another one going on with a guy who thinks the rotary motor is the best thing since sliced bread.

Yeah depends on the vette whether it's worth it or not. I personally have found nothing interesting in them since I dated a girl that had one.

Having owned a few Rotaries, I will say they short of turbo, they produce nothing in terms of power with every bolt on you can throw at it.

But when turboed, the rotor seals blow consistantly every 20-30k for most people.

It is sad.

I never knew that, but it does kinda make since to me. How do those Rotory Engines handle NOS?

They handle everything just fine, except that they GENERALLY not always lose power/compression as they age much more than piston cars so under loads of power and/or abuse, they tend to deteriorate that much faster.

'Rebuilding' it isn't super hard per se. Super anal maintenance can help with reducing the premature wear to virtually eliminating it but most people do not put up the effort.
