Thanks for the info man. We're you spinning a lot? What rpm did you launch at?

I think you should keep the spare tire. You want some weight in the back so you don't spin all day. Just run as little gas as you can to get you down the track a few times and to the gas station. That's what I do. It's gonna be a good race. You got this!!

It has a lot do do with location and weather too. I have heard of stock verts running 14.0 just depends on weather and location

You should be able to beat him no problem!.. If you can't get a 14.2 or better then you need a serious driver mod!.. Or have your keys taken from ya!.. Lol.

I believe it. I had a 98 5 speed and ran 14.4 with just a K&N filter and flows. Bone stock with the stock 16 inch wheels and tires.

I would consider my self a pretty decent driver I been racing karts and cars since I was 12 with tons of wins and a few championships. But he got that 14.3 at a drag strip and he keeps saying he wants to race from a roll but I wanna go back to the local drag strip and run them

Do it at the track! Then you have the slip and you can run other cars.

I know I'm coming in a little late.. But if I'm correct, please don't put the gears in right before you race.. They supposedly need a break-in period... Idk.. Maybe just a load of crap.. Just be careful!

Guy that installed mine. Says he's installed over 300 sets of gears and said "they say" you need to break them in. But if installed correctly then they should be fine. But I still didn't take any chances.

If you spun more at the track something is wrong. The track should be way stickier than the street.

I wouldn't worry about this guy for a minute. A bolt on gt here at 5600 ft ran a 14.0 on 275 rubber. 2.1 60' launch at 3200 and slip the clutch so your rolling then let it out. Bang second and don't miss third.

And they always will. Nothing you can do to change it. I shut down half a dozen of them a month. Too bad the drag strip is closed here now.

Had a Honda in front of me yesterday with his fart can. He was trying to get me to race but all I smelled was oil burning lol. They put a fart can on and think it adds 100hp. If they only knew how dumb that sounds and looks.

Thats what i was told but it was terrible,,not just from the line but with the tune on the street,,i can chirp 2,3,4,,but on the track i was sliding around everytime i hit gears,,if i had my tuner with me,i would have back off my shift pressure on the tranny,,because with traction control on you could feel the engine backing off due to sliding,,it was crazy,,it was my first time,,and someone told me i must not have been in the groove,,i think it wasnt preped right,,there was a lightning truck there running 15s too..i thought they were faster than that

Maybe it wasnt prepped right?? The track i go to i hardly spun off the line it was so sticky. And on the street i spin like crazy from a stop and i chirp through 3rd.

Just like friend of a friend told me this weekend his bolt on rx7 runs 7's at 78 MPH. He is like 40. There is no age limit to the stupidity.
