Suspension and tires are going to help you the most at the track besides forced induction. I'd put your money there first. I know mine looked like a boat when I shifted with stock suspension. You would be amazed at the momentum you lose.

I think he already has. By the times, it looks like it has helped too.

What mods do you have? I'm running high 11's and shooting for mid 11's in my heavy vert. With any mods it's definitely doable in a coupr

2.76 upper pulley ( with 100mm tensioner), home ported blower, jlt high boost cai, ba3000 maf, 315/35/17 nitto 555r dr's, and a home made sct tune that is way off, lots of suspension stuff. I believe with a good tune I should be low 12's maybe high 11's. and I'm a vert too.

You should be making 460-480 on a good pump gas tune. Work on getting your trap speed around 115 and the times will drop. My car weighed 3960 with weight pulled out, just alot to lug around. I down to 3650 and it made a huge difference
Just be careful with aggressive launches on the irs. I took out two half shafts that way. Look into some wrinkle walls if you want to save the irs

First thing I gotta get a good tune. Wouldn't be surprised if my home made tune is only getting me around 430. Lol. I plan on slicks next year. I just had to get some tires I could hit the streets with too cause my tires were bald.

Also, what all did you take out to cut the weight by that much.

That heavy irs. Dropped 250 lbs right there. Lightweight control arms was the rest. Still had the spare tire in the trunk and 20lbs of ice in a cooler for the intercooler

One was my fault. Track wasn't hooking so I did an extra long burnout and dumped it at 5k... It hooked. Second time was powershifting to 2nd and got a touch of wheel hop. Broke the halfshaft and the diff cover on that one

With the way the weathers been I'd guess you'll see low 14s. But who knows. Definitely post your slips though.
I ran 12.871@108.08 MPH with the same tires you have with a 1.873 60 foot and Headers, intake, tune.

You can do it

Tires are 275 nitto nt555s. I've seen guys run lower times with less done power wise. They had stickier tires and suspension mods. I'm pretty sure with more practice I've got low 13s high 12s.
No lift shift is a MARGINAL pick up at best. He may have gained 1 second but it wasn't from no lift shifting. He simply had a better run when he did it.

I have all the slips and vids posted on here if you need visual proof for concrete motivation lol.

I added CMDPs, Cams, One piece drivesshaft and pulleys since them. Ran SLIGHTLY faster in hotter temps. The 12.871 was in the winter/

Ran 12.737 @ 109.98 with a 1.82 60' with the new mods in 100 degrees. Looking to match similar weather. I am aiming for 12.2-12.4 with a 1.80 60 @ 111.
