02 GT vs 03 Nissan Maxima SE

So my friend just got an 03 Nissan Maxima SE and I'm hearing these cars are pretty, seeing the specs and what not. Could it keep up with my standard GT? Does anyone have any experience with these cars?

If you are a decent driver then you should rape the Maxima

Compare the torque though, they've got 245, you've got 302.

That, and they should be a little heavier too.

I bet the new maxima could beat a 3v as well or give it a run for its money no worries.

That Nissan has about 255hp and 250lbs of torque. They do weigh just a little less but they are a high 14s car. Your 2v stock is a low 14s car so you should walk him easy.

That sounds about right. Because even the new ones with 290hp is still a high 14 car.

If you out launch, you win. Otherwise, the maxima will probably pull after 60. Torque is your friend in first but then you're usually out of the torque band.

Edge to the stang in the 1/4.

Yea I did mean Maxima hehe, didn't even notice I put sentra.

Sounds like it would be a decent race for me seeing as how in my opinion I'm not the greatest stick driver around and still perfecting my launches. I started driving stick about 2 months ago.

Probably not, but with a crappy driver all things are possible.

A new Maxima still can't get out of the 14s normally. A 3V IS the faster car, but they are both fast enough where a driver error will be hard to overcome in a short race.
