Our track in Noble requires them if your anything under 13 secs. Probably that way everywhere, check the rules on thier website.

That was my time exactly on my first pass ever in the car.
You got maybe another .80-1.00 quicker hiding in there somewhere.
Sounds like your just like me and your really eager to see what you can
Get out of the car. You'll probably be pulling low 13's. or high 12's
With a little seat time. Good Luck.

Well the fact that some of the 5.0s where sucking it up me feel better! But there was a guy running. 12.27 on a tune stock street tires and a boss mani! A 5.0 of course! Can't wait to go back, gotta keep practicing cause my fastest 60 was a 2.23ish.. Just wish there would of been a more poor little 4.6l out there as I was the only one!

Mods?

There is a 13.350 in there with a little better launch.

Oh, you have plenty left in there

I ran 12.871 @ 108.08 with a 1.873 60' with the EXACT same mods and tires. Well, not EXACT, I had the 98MM C&L intake at the time, not the 110MM JLT. Bama tune was fantastic until I added cams, then dyno tuning was necessary.

The best part is going back with the mentality "If one person did it, I can do it". hehe

For sure!! I've always heard of people launching hard and slipping the clutch but I don't fully understand how to make that work...

I dumped my 555s at 26 hundred for my 1.873 and I eventually nailed a 1.812 by launching at 5k and slip then dump.

The way I slipped it was letting the clutch out just a couple of inches so that the car begins to move and the around 5 MPH QUICKLY release the clutch while gunning it. By reducing the shock the tires get from dumping a clutch, the 555s will hold well once rolling past 5MPH.

It is very inconsistent usually. I can do it but not in all my runs.
